Mount Fuji - Japan -2015
Mount Fuji is central to the Japanese identity. It inspires all the people who see it. Over the centuiries many stories, paintings and poetries were written about it. For the Japanese Shinto religious people this mountain represents fire goddress, for the Buddhists it represents perfect meditaional pose and so on.
The mountain is just few hours by train from Tokyo. There are few lakes around the area. If you want to get away from busy Tokyo, then FujiSan is the right place to go. I spent few days there. Its very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, very enjoyable.

Video about Mt. Fuji at the Mt. Fuji Visitor Information Center - Japan! Japan! #14.50
This should have been part of Episode 14, which is all about my trip to the area around Mt. Fuji, but because of YouTube limits on video length, this had to be a separate video. This shows a video about Mt. Fuji, its history and its many features, that is shown to tourists at the Mt. Fuji Visitor Information Center near Lake Kawaguchi, one of the 5 lakes around Mt. Fuji. The Mt. Fuji Visitor Information Center also shows the same video in Japanese, Chinese, and maybe in other languages. The point is, Mt. Fuji is one place to see before you die! And if that's not enough, Mt. Fuji's peak should be one to climb before you die. By the way, I have climbed Mt. Fuji - check out The Japan! Japan! Video Blog Prequel #1. :-D

4K Chureito Pagoda - Mount Fuji - Kawaguchiko - Summer in Japan 2019 - DJI Osmo Pocket - Note 9
To go to Chureito-Pagoda, from Kawaguchiko Station, you can take the Fujikyu Railway Line to Shimoyoshida Station.
Plase take note that the JR Pass is not valid on this journey.
You can buy food first at Kawaguchiko Station to have energy and be ready for 400 steps to the top of Chureito-Pagoda.
The packaging is well prepared and has sofisticated design.
We choose to ride the Mount Fuji World Heritage Loop Bus (The Yellow Line) to the Chureito Iriguchi bus stop
The schedule is every 90 minutes for 300 Yen. It takes lesser walk compare to Shimoyoshida Station.
You can view the Lake Kawaguchi or Kawaguchiko from the window. Ko means Lake.
At the entrance, you will be greeted by a torri and lamps.
The climbing begins at 38 degree sun heat.
At the first level of the climb, take a rest, watch Fuji Yoshida City and Mount Fuji.
You can buy food and drink water from the stall.
Take another couple of steps to reach the Chureito-Pagoda.
Flying of drone is prohibited at this tourist spot.
The view from the top was lovely and the whole place was beautiful as it is.
Please be mindful of others who are also taking picture so that we can all have perfect shots with Chureito-Pagoda and Mount Fuji as the background.
Unfortunately, since it's summer that time, Mt Fuji was hiding behind the clouds.
As suggested, to have a clear view of Mt Fuji, visit the Pagoda at around 6 in the morning.
Going down is a challenge again. Another more than 400 steps going down the Shimoyoshida Station.
Thanks for watching.

Mount Fuji (富士山 Fujisan?, , located on Honshu Island, is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft). An active stratovolcano that last erupted in 1707–08, Mount Fuji lies about 100 kilometres (60 mi) south-west of Tokyo, and can be seen from there on a clear day. Mount Fuji's exceptionally symmetrical cone, which is snow-capped several months a year, is a well-known symbol of Japan and it is frequently depicted in art and photographs, as well as visited by sightseers and climbers. It is one of Japan's Three Holy Mountains (三霊山 Sanreizan?) along with Mount Tate and Mount Haku; it is a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, a Historic Site, and was added to the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site on June 22, 2013.

The mountain has been selected as a “cultural” rather than a “natural” heritage site. As per UNESCO, Mount Fuji has “inspired artists and poets and been the object of pilgrimage for centuries”. The 25 locations include the mountain itself, Fujisan Hongū Sengen Shrine and six other Sengen shrines, two lodging houses, Lake Yamanaka, Lake Kawaguchi, the eight Oshino Hakkai hot springs, two lava tree molds, the remains of the Fuji-kō cult in the Hitoana cave, Shiraito Falls, and Miho no Matsubara pine tree grove.

Central Japan Tour 2014: Episode 6 - Fuji Kawaguchiko
This is the final episode, covering the final 3-4 days of our travel.
On the way to Nagoya Parkour's beginner workshop, I ran into a Cosplay event, it seemed to be a casual photoshoot gathering of sorts.
Afterwards we headed to our final hotel, Mizuno Resort at Fuji Kawaguchiko where we stayed for the last 3 days of our trip.
When we were there, we visited the local attractions, FujiQ Highland Theme Park, and the Fuji Shibazakura Flower Festival.
Thank you for following this series to the end with me, I hope in a small way, this series brought to you some of the wonders and joy this trip brought to me.

Enkoji Temple Built by Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu!
Enkoji Temple, the name of which formally has the prefix Zuigenzan, belongs to the Nanzenji group of the Rinzai sect. This temple originated from a school which was built in Fushimi in the southern part of Kyoto by shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1601, and the priest Sanyo Genkitsu, who had been the 9th principal of the Ashikaga school, was invited as the principal of this temple. The temple was set to this ground by the order of the Tokugawa shogunate in 1667.
Ieyasu ordered priests and samurais to learn Confucianism in this temple, gave them 100.000 wooden printing types, and let them publish a large number of publications. Many of the oldest wooden printing types used at that time are preserved as an important cultural property in the temple.
A sedentary statue of One-Thousand-hand Goddess of Mercy, as the principal image, is installed in the main hall. The main hall keeps a folding screen of bamboo trees painted by Maruyama Okyo, which is also an important cultural property, and a portrait of the priest Genkitsu. The temple's garden called Jugyu no Niwa, which has the Seiryu Pond and Suikinhutsu ( a ceramic pot under the ground producing a delicate natural sound), is famous for its colorful leaves in autumn.
