This shrine is built on the water origin. It worships the God of Water (Mizuhanome). You can enjoy cold delicious somen noodles which make use of this water.

Japan Ibusuki Trip 2016

Took the train from Kagoshima Chuo to Ibusuki. Train ride was 1 hour & 30 minutes, great scenic train ride and free if you have the JR Pass.
Bike rental is 450 Yen for 2 hours.
Sand Bath with Onsen was 1080 Yen
Towel 120 Yen and yours to keep.

Master Tosenkyo Player Demonstrates Form (guest submission)

Tosenkyo is a geisha game of throwing five paper fans at a target, called the butterfly. Points are scored by how the fan and target land. A local master tosenkyo player from the Japan Tohsenkyo Preservation and Promotion Association demonstrates a solid fan throw at the gaming space in Kaname Hostel, during the Japanese Monster Darts event on Tatemachi Street in Kanazawa, November 8th, 2017.
