Kawasaki Daishi （川崎大師） Temple is located in Kawasaki City of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.
Kawasaki Daishi Temple is also known as Hirama-ji Temple. It is a very large city temple, which is visited by people from all over the Kanto region. After the Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, it is the second highest visited temple in Kanto region.
This temple also very popular for the new years eve and new year celebrations, where millions of people visit this temple on those two occasions.

► Daishi Nakamise Street is an exciting market-style walking street, selling all kinds of foods, snacks, drinks and religious related items ( - as the streets leads to the Kawasaki Daishi Temple.) - This street is just so Japan in every way, the sights, the sounds, the smell.
It's a fun and lively place to visit, with so much going on, especially on weekends. If huge crowds isn't your cup of tea, try visiting on a normal weekday, then the amount of visitors will be 5% of what you see in this video. On the other hand, in my opinion, the big crowds are part of the experience - so man up, and go for it.

Kawasaki Daishi Temple ● 川崎大師
► Kawasaki Daishi Temple - also known as Heiken-Ji (平間寺) - is the headquarters of the Chizan Sect of Shingon Buddhism.
It's located 15 minutes outside Kawasaki City, and is a quite interesting place to visit, especially when they are holding a ceremony as the case was on my visit.
At the end of the ceremony, the attendees can get their wallets blessed by the priest over holy smoke to solve their financial problems, or a photo of their loved ones blessed for good luck, love and health and so on..... - Enjoy!

It is a temple that excels demons and is very crowded with worshipers in New Year.
Just souvenirs and sandwiches walk around the temple makes it fun.
Especially when you hear the sound cutting candy and candy it makes you feel fun.

Kawasaki Daishi Temple Festival Japan
Kawasaki Daishi (川崎大師) is the popular name of Heiken-ji (平間寺 Heiken-ji), a Buddhist temple in Kawasaki, Japan. Founded in 1128, it is the headquarters of the Chizan sect of Shingon Buddhism. Kawasaki Daishi is a popular temple for hatsumōde (the first visit to a place of worship in the new year). In 2006, 2.72 million people engaged in hatsumōde here, the third largest figure in Japan and the largest in Kanagawa Prefecture. In 2016, the temple made preparations to receive 3 million visitors over the same period. Keihin Electric Express Railway, the oldest railroad company in the Kantō region of Japan, commenced service in January 1899 to carry passengers to Kawasaki Daishi from Tokyo.
Heiken-ji is known formally as Kongōzan Kinjōin Heiken-ji (金剛山金乗院平間寺).

Kawasaki Station is a busy and bustling commercial area. What makes it even more interesting is that the action is taking place not just on the street, but under it as well. The Azalea Shopping Mall is an underground shopping mall that stretches beneath the main commercial areas, and connects most of the major buildings (including the train stations) in the area by tunnel. It's the second-largest underground shopping mall in Japan.

► Kawasaki is a small city with a population of 1.5 million, that is squeezed in between the megacities of Tokyo and Yokohama.
A few years ago, it had a reputation of being a boring bedtown with nothing much to do. Recently, that has all changed, and apart from Japanese restaurants and shops offering traditional Japanese goods, Kawasaki also has a european neighbourhood, which offers primarily italian and french cuisine. On top of that, there's also a really good, huge outlet mall of the kind you'd expect to find in the U.S.
Kawasaki City can be easily reached from Tokyo, just 15 minutes by train from Shingawa Station by Keihin Tohoku Line. - Enjoy!
