Bang Kachao Cycling at Bangkok Green Lung / บางกะเจ้า / バーンカチャオ
Bang Kachao (บางกะเจ้า)is an artificial island formed by a bend in the Chao Phraya River and a canal at its western end. It lies south of the Thai capital Bangkok in Phra Pradaeng District of Samut Prakan Province. The island, covering 16 square kilometres (6.2 sq mi), has been traditionally agricultural with only a relatively small population. It is sometimes referred to as the green lung of Bangkok. In 2006, Bang Kachao was named best urban oasis by Time in its Best of Asia series and is frequented by nature lovers and cyclists.

Prapadaeng - Bangkok's 'Lung'
Across the mighty Chao Phraya River sits this jungle-strewn chunk of land that's covered mostly by mangrove swamps. Off the main road, raised pathways are the only way to get around, and they make for some great riding. This area is very popular with locals and tour groups alike who want to get away from the traffic.

Songkran - A first hand experience
First day of Songkran Friday April 13th 2012. Wanted to share the experience with those who are not here. This is all Saladaeng and Silom area. For those who are unaware what Songkran is it is a Thai water festival that takes place 3 days of the year and everywhere becomes a giant water fight. Its my favorite holiday. And an amazing experience.
