Expedition: Asia Vlog Episode 2 - Turgen River, Kazakhstan
Episode 2 of our Expedition: Asia Series brought us to the Turgen River outside of Almaty, Kazakhstan. This short section or river is an hour east of Almaty in the Ile-Alatau National Park. We didn't make it up to the waterfall since the opportunity to get out there was a little last minute. Unfortunately, through some miscommunications our paddles didn't make it over to Kazakhstan. Luckily we were able to meet up with Vitaly, from the Kazakhstan Rafting Federation, who was able to lend us a few paddles for the trip and help with the shuttle. Aferwards we switched accommodations from our initial hotel to an Airbnb for 2 nights before we headed out to Kyrgyzstan with a couple of complications along the way, namely no one on our crew spoke Russian or Kazakh.
Puch Moped Roadtrip to Almaty in Kazakhstan 1200km | Maxi Touring Mongolia to Austria travel
3rd Country on the Trip, Kazakhstan, in 5 days I cover 1200km with quite a few Issues on my Moped. In the end I reach almaty and met a lot of friendly people along the way.
While I have left the cold Mongolian steppe behind me, I am now in the hot Kazakh steppe, with Temperatures climbing to 36°C (97°F)
In 2018 I did this trip where I shipped my Moped to Mongolia and rode it all the Way back home to Austria. In 3 Months I covered 13.000 kilometers crossed the Mongolian steppes and went through the Pamir Mountains. All in all it was an awesome adventure I wouldn't want to miss.

Kazakhstan: Beautiful View From Almaty to Taraz - DiDi's Adventures Episode 34
Like and subscribe if you enjoyed watching! :)
We drove from Almaty to Taraz in May, it was our first road trip in Kazakhstan. It was quite warm, and it was absolutely beautiful. Be sure to pack all you need before you hit the road, anything from food, water, tissue, hand sanitizer etc. since it might be really hard to find them on the way. Also, beware of all the speed limit, it can change from 80 to 20 within a hundre meters, and there might be road police nearby. So be very careful! If they do catch you though, don't overpay your fine. ;)

How to travel by train in Kazakhstan?
Discovering Kazakhstan №9
There is no other place in the world where the railroad so dominates life as it does in Kazakhstan. In this huge and mostly flat country, trains are the ideal way to move around people and goods. The rail infrastructure here is so vast that the national train company, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, is the largest employer in the entire country. It is these rail workers who are turning Kazakhstan into a major international transport hub, connecting China in the east with Europe in the west.
Exploring Remote Villages In KAZAKHSTAN | Epic Nature, Food + Kazak Culture
This is Kazakhstan IN ALL ITS GLORY. If you're looking for an epic adventure experience, I would highly recommend checking out the more natural and remote parts of Kazakhstan because it really does have so much to offer. From the small village of Saty you can see the famous Kaindy and Kolsay Lakes and take it the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. In this vlog I went over where we stayed in Saty, the local food and culture, as well as how you can have this experience yourself. Below I've listed the companies I would recommend checking out if you'd like to go on this tour, as well as Kazakhstan tours as a whole as well!
The company I went with - Tourism Kazakhstan (mainly for Russian speakers, but there was one English speaking dude on our tour and he did ok!) -
An English speaking tour company with a similar 2 day tour (please keep in mind I have never traveled with them, only going by info I've found) -
The tour companies below I've travelled with before to other destinations and absolutely LOVE, but are longer tours if you want to see more of Kazakhstan and surrounding areas:
General Kazakhstan trips with Saty included - I'd recommend HIGHLIGHTS OF KYRGYZSTAN AND KAZAKHSTAN:
Also a great long term tour but doesn't have Saty (Intrepid Travel):

Welcome to my channel! I'm Patrick and this is Patmax Adventures! I'm originally from California and have been living abroad for the past four years. I decided to start this channel to share my experiences and passion for travel with others. My goal with this channel is to share and show as much as I can of the World. My focus will always be on the culture, food and of course the local people of everywhere I travel to! I'm an optimist and always try to highlight the positives of a place rather than just the negatives.Though I will also be bluntly honest at times too! If you love travel and exploring far away places, then you found the right place!
Join me in living every moment to the Max!! ^^

Big Mountain Freeride Kazakhstan
Edit about a big mountain Ski/Snowboard adventure to Kazakhstan.
For our trips in season 2017/2018 make sure to visit:
The Tian Shan Mountains have always been on our bucket list, not on the top of it, but it was definitely a place to go. A friend who spent almost a year there kept convincing us to go as soon as possible. Tian Shan makes it possible to extend your winter season until June, so his main argument. With good snow conditions you have chances to ride real powder until the end of the season. We wouldn’t really take his word for granted about this, but indeed, it was worth trying.
As the snow reports were beyond our expectations, we set our journey to the end of May. It was snowing constantly and local riders were amazed by what Mother Nature brought to them this spring. There would be a powder alert every week and people were going nuts scoring the lines nobody thought were rideable. We were so stoked to get there and the waiting period was a nightmare while friends were posting pictures and videos that made your mouth water.
5 reasons to go on an expedition to Tian Shan Mountain Range
- multiple descents from peaks at hights of 4,000 meters above sea level
- Igor Podgorski, Kazakhstans skiing pioneer will guide you
- you will live through a unique experience because we will take you to an isolated station for scientific research at a height of 3,500 meters by helicopter
- we will take you there at a time where we can guarantee the best snow possible
- you will experience all this far from overcrowded skiing resorts
