Kbal Spean (Khmer: ក្បាលស្ពាន) (Bridge Head) is an Angkorian era archaeological site on the southwest slopes of the Kulen Hills to the northeast of Angkor in Siem Reap District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. It is situated along a 50 metres (160 ft) stretch of the Stung Kbal Spean River, 25 kilometres (16 mi) from the main Angkor group of monuments. Kbal Spean is described as a spectacularly carved riverbed, set deep in the jungle to the northeast of Angkor.( )

Kbal Spean is an Angkorian archaeological site on the southwest slopes of the Kulen Hills to the northeast of Angkor in Siem Reap District, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. It is situated along a 150m stretch of the Stung Kbal Spean River, 25 kilometres (16 mi) from the main Angkor group of monuments.The site consists of a series of stone rock relief carvings in sandstone formations of the river bed and banks. It is commonly known as the Valley of a 1000 Lingas or The River of a Thousand Lingas. The motifs for stone carvings are mainly myriads of lingams (phallic symbol of Hindu god Shiva), depicted as neatly arranged bumps that cover the surface of a sandstone bed rock, and lingam-yoni designs. There are also various Hindu mythological motifs, including depictions of the gods Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Lakshmi, Rama, and Hanuman, as well as animals (cows and frogs).This video recorded 21 November 2015.Thank you for visiting my channel.

Kbal Spean, è un sito dell'era Angkoriana, alle pendici sudoccidentali delle colline di Kulen, in Cambogia, 30 km a nord-nord-est dal gruppo principale dei monumenti di Angkor. Il suo nome deriva da un blocco di arenaria nel quale lo Stung (fiume) Kbal Spean ha scavato un ponte naturale nella sua discesa dalla Phnom (collina) Kbal Spean, che lo porta a congiungersi con lo Stung Siem Reap.Lungo il corso del fiume sono state scavate una serie di sculture, lungo una sezione del torrente lunga circa 150 metri, tra le quali abbondano i lingam, simboli del dio Shiva, in forma di protuberanze viepiù abbozzate, affiancati in gruppi ordinati sul letto del fiume. Questo ha dato origine al suo nome sanscrito di Sahasralinga (Fiume dei Mille Linga). L'intento sacro all'origine delle sculture è la fertilizzazione delle risaie attraverso l'acqua del fiume, utilizzata nella loro irrigazione.Abbondano inoltre raffigurazioni di yoni, perlopiù in forma stilizzata di una piscina quadrata che contiene dei lingas (spesso nella configurazione detta quinconce) con uno sbocco, e di animali sacri e dei della tradizione induista. Admission Fees : To be able to enter the premises of Angkor, you need to have a ticket. The ticket price is one-day ($20), three-day ($40) and seven-day ($60). The ticket is personal and not transferable, will be also printed a photograph our (taken at the time of pick up the ticket at the box office).
Timetable for visit Temples : Visiting hours are 5:00AM - 6:00PM. Angkor Wat closes at 6:00PM, Banteay Srey closes at 5:00PM and Kbal Spean at 3:00PM. Always carry your ticket. It will be checked upon each park entry and at major temples.

Kbal Spean Waterfall Siem Reap Province | Kulen Mountain National Park

My first time to walk up to the waterfall as i told my friends that i can't walk 1500m. to this waterfall. It's Kbal Spean waterfall at Phnom Kulen National Park at Siem Reap province in Cambodia. We have to walk 1500m to the waterfall and back 1500m back to the car. We got there late at around 3pm and need to walk another 1 hour to the waterfall. While walking, we can only hear the sound of Cicada and the jungle singing around us. It's a beautiful waterfall with hundred butterflies flying around. There are carving on stones the images of god and sculptures. We should have spent much time there but it's getting dark, we need to walk back to the car. Kbal Spean resort & waterfall is an archaeological site located at the south-western part of the Kulen Mountains National Park and the north-eastern part of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap Province in Cambodia.

Phnom Kbal Spean (mountain and waterfalls) Tour Highlight

Not far from Banteay Srey Temple, there a hidden waterfalls in the mountain of Kbal Spean. You need to take a 1500 meter walk to reach the waterfalls. That's good and worth visit.

Travel from Kbal Spean Waterfall to Krong Siem Reap | Visit Ak Yum Temple at West Baray Lake

We just left Kblal Spean waterfall at Phnom Kulen National park heading to Krong Siem Reap. We thought of looking for a homestay near Banteay Srey temple and we found one homestay called Bong Thom homestay but they're still fixing the place and not ready to receive customers yet. We have no choice to travel to Krong Siem Reap for a nice place to stay, but before that, we need to find something to eat. We went to have Nam Ben Chok Khmer Noodle at Preah Dak first as it's a very popular noodle with Namya, Proheur, and Curry soup. We all ate noodle till full and continued our trip to Krong Siem Reap. We headed to Pub Street to get Pancakes and Fried Ice-Cream for kids before going to the guest house. We stayed at Sovann Angkor Hotel ($15 per night) across from Sokha Hotel in Siem Reap. We had breakfast nearby the hotel we stayed and traveled to visit Ak Yum temple at west-baray lake in Siem Reap. it's an ancient temple about 80% broken. That's the end of this video.

Siem Reap Waterfalls Kbal Spean

1.5 kilometer (each way) hike with 200 meter vertical climb (each way) in the jungles of Cambodia to see 1,400-year-old carvings. Awesome!

Kbal Spean means Bridge Head from the 11th century. The carving of vestiges began with the reign of King Suryavarman I and ended with the reign of King Udayadityavarman II. These two kings ruled between the 11th and 12th centuries. The site consists of a series of stone carving in sandstone formations carved in the river bed and banks. It is commonly known as the Valley of a 1000 Lingas The motifts for stone carvings are mainly symbol of Hindu gos Shiva. There are also various Hindu mythological motifs, includeing Brahma, Lakshmi, Rama and Hanuman, as well as animals such as cows and frogs.

Kbal Spean is described as a spectacularly craved riverbed, set deep in the jungle to the northeast of Angkor.

Kbal Spean Siem Reap (Brighed Head) Thousand Lingas

A holy valley of a thousand lingas, called Kbal Spean is located on a mountain 10 kilometers from Banteay Srei Temple. An amazing hiking tour can be found on the slopes of this mountain. After about 30 minutes hiking a distance of 1500 meters, you will see a natural stone bridge and Vishnu God carved out of sandstone.

I am a tuk tuk driver in Siem Reap, who has about 4 years experience of driving tourists around my home city and I am also studying tourism.
