Kedareswar Temple, one of the eight Astasambhu Temples, is near the Mukteswar Temple, in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva, referred to locally by the name 'Kedareshwar'. It is in the precinct of Kedara-Gouri on the right side of the road leading to Puri from Bhubaneswar and at a distance of 40 metres south of Muktesvara. It is one of the ten monuments within the precinct. It is the main temple of the complex. The temple is facing south and the enshrined deity is a circular yonipitha made of sandstone. Kedareswar Temple in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa

There lived a couple named Kedar (male) and Gouri (female). They loved each other and decided to marry. The society was against the union, so it led them to flee from village. During the journey Gouri felt hungry, so Kedar went for food and was killed by a tiger. Later Gouri hearing this at this place jumped into the pond. The king of Utkal, Lalatendu Keshari, knowing this raised a temple named Kedareshawr or Kedargouri Temple. Still lovers come here to pray for a happy wedlock without any obstacles. The pond here is said to have some medicinal property.

Believed to have been built by King Lalatendu Kesari to commemorate the ill fated lovers Kedar and Gouri who eloped against the wishes of their communities. The temple is located near Mukteswara temple and is regarded as one of the eight Astasambhu temples. The residing deity is Lord Shiva known as Kedareswar and his consort Goddess Gouri. According to the legend Kedar was killed by a tiger and Gouri committed suicide in the pond now located in the temple complex. Even today lovers flock the temple to pray for a blissful married life. Kedarnath Mandir - kedarnath temple
Kēdārnāth Mandir (Kedarnath Temple) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand in India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open only between the end of April (Akshaya Tritriya) to Kartik Purnima (the autumn full moon, usually November). During the winters, the vigrahas (deities) from Kedarnath temple are brought to Ukhimath and worshiped there for six months. Lord Shiva is worshiped as Kedarnath, the 'Lord of Kedar Khand', the historical name of the region.

अगर वैज्ञानिकों की मानें तो केदारनाथ का मंदिर 400 साल तक बर्फ में दबा रहा था, लेकिन फिर भी वह सुरक्षित बचा रहा। 13वीं से 17वीं शताब्दी तक यानी 400 साल तक एक छोटा हिमयुग (Little Ice Age) आया था जिसमें हिमालय का एक बड़ा क्षेत्र बर्फ के अंदर दब गया था
वैज्ञानिकों के मुताबिक केदारनाथ मंदिर 400 साल तक बर्फ में दबा रहा फिर भी इस मंदिर को कुछ नहीं हुआ, इसलिए वैज्ञानिक इस बात से हैरान नहीं है कि ताजा जल प्रलय में यह मंदिर बच गया।

It is situated at an altitude of 18,200 feet above mean sea level in the Garhwal Himalayas.It is the second highest lake in the world after Tso Sekuru which is located at the height of 18,284 feet above mean sea level(Tibetan Plateau).

Standing at an altitude of almost 4135 meters (that is about 14,200 feet) above the sea level, the lake of Vasuki Tal is surrounded by the imposing and magnificent Himalayan mountain ranges and offers a spectacular view of the Chaukhamba peaks nearby.

KEDARGOURI,THE TEMPLE OF LOVE,BHUBANESWAR,ODISHA.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva (Kedareswar) and Goddess Gouri, the temple is situated within the same premises next to the Mukteswar Temple. Beside of the temple subsists a perennial stream. According to Kapila Samhita (a religious text) a single sip of water from the tank absolves the drinker from the repeated cycles of birth and death.
The legend goes that king Lalatendu Kesari, after a tragic episode relating to two lovers Kedar and Gouri, had built this temple in their memory. Near the temple there is a `Khirakunda` and another Marichi Kunda`. The water of Khira Kinda is considered hygienic and digestive for which it is carried to different places for drinking purpose. The water of Marichi Kunda is auctioned on Asokastami day and consumed by sterile women who want to conceive.

Kedareswar Temple, one of the eight Astasambhu Temples, is near the Mukteswar Temple, in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva, referred to locally by the name 'Kedareshwar'. It is in the precinct of Kedara-Gouri on the right side of the road leading to Puri from Bhubaneswar and at a distance of 40 metres south of Muktesvara. It is one of the ten monuments within the precinct. It is the main temple of the complex. The temple is facing south and the enshrined deity is a circular yonipitha made of sandstone. The linga at the centre is missing. The sanctum is 2.5 square meters which is 0.8 meters below the present ground. It stands near the yard of the Mukteswar Temple.
