Keila Waterfall (Estonian: Keila juga) is a waterfall in Northern Estonia on Keila River. It is the third most powerful waterfall in Estonia after Narva and Jägala. It is 6 meters high and 60–70 meters wide.
Knight's Manor Schloss Fall, that emerged already in the 16th century next to Keila River and one of Estonia's most beautiful waterfall, has seen different times throughout history: it has been grand and glorious, but also forgotten... The castle's history is a fascinating and lively snapshot of Estonian history, linking it to the mighty empires, shiny rulers and big personalities. According to the legend, it was here in 1833 that the future imperial Russian national anthem was first performed during a visit of the Russian Emperor Nikolai I.

Keilan vesiputous on 6 metriä korkea ja kymmeniä metrejä leveä. Sitä suurempia Virossa ovat vain Narvan ja Jägalan vesiputoukset. Puistosta vie tie joenrantaa pitkin kahden riippusillan yli putoukselle. Jännittävää maastoa voi tutkia 3 km pituisella luontopolulla.
Taas palasimme ihailemaan tätä Pohjois-Viron ehdotonta helmeä...vautsi :)

FITHydro: Electronic Fish Surrogate @ Keila Waterfall, Estonia
Electronic fish surrogates were developed at the Centre for Biorobotics, Tallinn University of Technology. They measure the extreme conditions faced by fish passing downstream over weirs, gates and hydropower turbines. Together with IAMHYDRO, researchers tested the sensors as they pass over the waterfall on the Keila River, in Estonia.
The Environmental Sensing and Intelligence Group is lead by Jeffrey Tuhtan. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 727830, FIThydro. Funding was also provided via the Estonian base financing grant No B53, ‘Octavo’ and Estonian Research Council PUT grant 1690, ‘Bioinspired flow sensing’.

Водопад, парк и усадьба с замком Фалль в Кейла-Йоа Waterfall and the castle in Keila-Joa
Водопад и парк в Кейла-Йоа - это достопримечательность Эстонии и одно из красивейших мест этой страны. Здесь находилось имение с замком русских дворян Бенкендорфов, а затем князей Волконских. В настоящее время замок Фалль и прочие постройки усадьбы отреставрированы и открыты для посетителей. Сейчас в замке располагаются гостиница и ресторан.
