Professor Andrew Oswald Professor of Economics and Behavioural Science at Warwick University and Professor Danny Dorling, Halford Mackinder Professor of Geography, Oxford University discuss the impact of Brexit and the implications it will have on the UK.

Anne McLaren Lecture 2019
Professor Marie Lindquist, Director of the Uppsala Monitoring Centre, asks the question Can reformed communication save patients from harm?
Anne McLaren came to Oxford as an undergraduate in 1945, continuing for her DPhil, and went on to become a leading figure in developmental biology. Her work helped lead to human in vitro fertilisation (IVF). She received many honours for her contributions to science, and became the first-ever woman Officer of the Royal Society in their 300-year history, when she was made Foreign Secretary and then Vice-President. She was a Trustee of the Oxford International Biomedical Centre, which has commissioned this annual lecture.

International Women's Day 2018
With the World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away - there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressforProgress. And with global activism for women's equality fuelled by movements like #MeToo, #TimesUp and more - there is a strong global momentum striving for gender equality.
We heard from three women on International Women's Day at Kellogg College, Oxford. They spoke to us about gender equality in the workplace, sharing their own experiences and exploring what needs to be done to achieve equality across all industries, at all levels, and in all professions.
Baroness Hayter of Kentish Town is Shadow Deputy Leader of the House of Lords and shadow Brexit minister.
Betty Webb MBE was a codebreaker at Bletchley Park. Bletchley Park is the home of British codebreaking and a birthplace of modern information technology. It played a major role in World War Two, producing secret intelligence which had a direct and profound influence on the outcome of the conflict.
Maya Siegel is a Kellogg student, studying for an MSc in Evidence Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation.
Migration into and out of the UK after Brexit: livestream recording
In this panel conversation, experts on policy, media and economics discussed how Brexit would be likely to affect migration into and out of the UK and public debate about it.
Key questions for the discussion included: Will migration decrease after Brexit? What sectors are more/less likely to experience labour shortages? Will there be a change in the way the UK media covers migration stories after Brexit? Will there be a shift from focusing on EU migration to covering stories related to asylum and other forms of migration from outside the EU? What are the implications of Brexit for the employment opportunities and outcomes of EU nationals living in the UK? Will Brexit lead to large scale emigration from the UK?
