Pacific Coastal Airlines Okanagan Top 10 - Nov
Each episode, Pacific Coastal Airlines brings you the best events in regions they fly with host Leanne Allen. This time, on location at Paradise Estates in West Kelowna.
1. The View Winery & Vineyard presents Winter WineLand (December 1st & 2nd)
At this Fab Five event, you’ll enjoy light treats paired with our wines & ciders. Deals and discounts for your holiday shopping with wine and festivities - this event is one way to kick off December right! Please help The View in supporting the community and bring a non-perishable food donation with you.
2. Ballet Kelowna presents Autumn (November 16th & 17th)
Autumn is Ballet Kelowna’s newest collection of dance inspired by the splendors of fall. Following the success of A Streetcar Named Desire, we bring you another work by John Alleyne called Schubert. Next, we unveil the company premiere of In Between, a work originally created for the National Ballet of Canada by Alysa Pires and hailed by The Globe and Mail as “a polished, cohesive, and energetic ballet.” Fresh off its Toronto debut, we close the program with the wildly popular MAMBO, also by Alysa Pires.
3. Christmas Fair with a French Flair (November 17th)
Local Crafters, Arts & Craft, Food/Lunch & a Bake Sale. Donations for the Food Bank accepted. Get into the Holiday spirit at this Cash Only Event suitable for the whole family!
4. Beautiful: The Carole King Musical - A Bus Trip to Vancouver with the Kelowna Actors Studio (November 17th)
Departure Time: Kelowna: 8:30am
Pick Up Locations: Vernon, Lake Country, Kelowna and West Kelowna
Long before she was Carole King, chart-topping music legend, she was Carol Klein, Brooklyn girl with passion and chutzpah. She fought her way into the record business as a teenager and, by the time she reached her twenties, had the husband of her dreams and a flourishing career writing hits for the biggest acts in rock ‘n’ roll. But it wasn’t until her personal life began to crack that she finally managed to find her true voice.
5. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band with special guests Nice House at the SOEC (November 8th)
6. Martin O. at the Creekside Theatre (November 17th)
7. Jann Arden These are the Days Tour at the Kelowna Community Theatre (November 18th)
Jann Arden is a singer, songwriter, broadcaster, actor, author and social media star. The celebrated multi-platinum, award-winning artist catapulted onto the music scene in 1993 with her debut album, Time for Mercy, featuring the hit single “I Would Die for You.” A year later she had her international break-out hit “Insensitive.”
8. A Seussified Christmas Carol at the Rotary Centre for the Arts (November 23rd – December 2nd)
A whimsical reinvention of Dickens' most beloved Christmas story in wacky rhymed couplets with zoot fruited juices and binka bird geese, from Bed-Headed Fred to Timmy Loo Hoo, this tale of glorious holiday cheer is similar to something Dr. Seuss might have come up with--if he ever had his way with the story.
9. Brett Kissel - We Were That Song Tour at the Kelowna Community Theatre (November 27th)
Brett Kissel - the CCMA Awards' reigning Male Artist of the Year is coming to Kelowna! Brett received the CIMA Road Gold Award for Part One of the Canadian tour earlier this year, which recognizes a high level of achievement during a touring period.
10. Oh What a Night! – The Christmas Show (December 1st)
Back by popular demand in 2018! The cast of “OH WHAT A NIGHT!”, the internationally renowned tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, celebrates the Christmas season with a show that returns to Canada by popular demand… one that definitely creates “holiday sparkle”.
