Castledare Steamfest 2017
On May the 6th & 7th 2017 - Castledare Miniature Railway held a SteamFest at their tracksite near Cannington in Perth W.A. , these various scenes show the trains that were out on the Sunday afternoon riding around their circuit departing from their main station ( Niana ) & across to the Kent st weir end of the line known as Wilson Park where the mini trains return back to their Home location & the Castledare club rooms.
These mini trains are owned & operated usually by the owners of these tiny works of art but on occasions ( like in these shots ) other club members are given a chance to drive another persons work of art which I see it as being a privilege - not a right.
To find out more about them , please follow the link provided - or follow their link to their Facebook page via the link that I have here.

PBR Allentown 2014
A few of us got up at 4:30am for a little field trip before the show. Since we were only a couple hours from Gettysburg, and I have never been, it was an easy call!
It was raining pretty steady and I was only able to take a few pictures. It was an amazing experience. History classes in middle school and high school just don't tell the story. I was expecting a big open field and some landmarks. Wow, just wow. The battle took place on over 22,000 acres. There are more than 2000 markers remembering those who thought there.
We were fortunate to have a guide take us out privately. He knows his stuff! To be an official guide, they have a four hour written exam and a four oral exam on the battlefield. They have to score over 92% to pass! We actually rushed through it because we had to get back to Allentown for the PBR event that night.
In just those two hours I have to admit I was mesmerized. I plan on going back and spending at least a day there someday soon. And I have to encourage any American, heck, anyone at all, to go someday. I've heard it said that we became a true country after the Civil War. While we already were a nation and had our Constitution, it was never tested. The Civil War bound us together forever. Just an amazing quick trip :)
We then rushed back to the PPL Arena for our show that night. Technically things went very well, so I was able to get inside and shoot the guys working. Props to Kevin Hutchison (Jib), Morgan Mullin (Camera 2), Jerry Long (Camera 1), Mike Weir (Camera 7), Paul Cox (Camera 5), Bryan Mattingly (TD), Mark Harrier (A1), Kale Salee (A2), Ed Palma (A2), Kevin Olden (Video), Lance Coler (Replay), Jim Wilson (Replay). Dave Poirier (Big Screen TD), Kenny (Big Screen Replay) and Charlie (Big Screen Graphics). These guys are the ones who bring you the shows in the arenas and on TV!

Bournemouth Beach - BEAUTIFUL!
Beautiful Bournemouth Beach.
Check out my friend's channel:
Bournemouth is a large coastal resort town in the ceremonial county of Dorset, England. According to the mid-year estimates for 2010 from the Office for National Statistics the town has a population of 168,100, making it the largest settlement in Dorset. It is also the largest settlement between Southampton and Plymouth. With Poole and Christchurch, Bournemouth forms the South East Dorset conurbation, which has a total population of approximately 400,000.
Bournemouth's location on the south coast of England has made it a popular destination for tourists. The town is a regional centre of business, home of the Bournemouth International Centre and financial companies that include Liverpool Victoria and PruHealth.
In a 2007 survey by First Direct, Bournemouth was found to be the happiest place in the UK, with 82% of people questioned saying they were happy with their lives.
Bournemouth is a tourist and regional centre for leisure, entertainment, culture and recreation. The award-winning Central Gardens are a separate major public park, leading for several miles down the valley of the River Bourne through the centre of the town to the sea (reaching the sea at Bournemouth Pier) and include the Pleasure Gardens and the area surrounding the Pavilion and the now closed IMAX Cinema. It has a thriving youth culture, including a large university population and many language school students.
In recent years, Bournemouth has become a popular nightlife destination with UK tourists. Many clubs, bars and restaurants are located within the town centre. Bliss, Chilli White, Lava & Ignite and Mary Shelley operate on St. Peter's Road. In addition, 'V', the converted St. Andrew's Church, since April 2009 has become very popular within the town's night time entertainment.
The town was a major centre for the 1951 Festival of Britain with classical concerts, opera, ballet and a visit from the Salzburg Marionettes; the two weeks in June also featured a national brass band competition, sea cadet displays and different sporting events.
Bournemouth is currently host to several annual festivals. The town has had an annual literary festival since 2005. A Gay Pride festival named Bourne Free is held in the town each year during the summer. Since 2008 Bournemouth has held its own air festival over four days in August. This has featured displays from the Red Arrows as well as appearances from the Yakovlevs, Blades, Team Guinot Wing-Walkers, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight including Lancaster, Hurricane, Spitfire and also the last flying Vulcan. The festival has also seen appearances from modern aircraft such as the Eurofighter Typhoon. The air festival attracts nearly one million people over the four-day event.
The town was especially rich in literary associations during the late 19th century and earlier years of the 20th century. Oscar Wilde and Paul Verlaine both taught at Bournemouth preparatory schools. Bournemouth appears as Sandbourne in Thomas Hardy's novels. Tess lived in Sandbourne with Alec d'Urberville, and the town also features in The Well-Beloved and Jude the Obscure. It is also mentioned in So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish, the fourth book of the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. In James Herbert's horror novel The Fog, the entire population of Bournemouth runs into the sea and drowns in a mass suicide. In Andy McDermott's thriller The Secret of Excalibur, a car chase through the town centre and beach front leads to the destruction of the IMAX Cinema. It is also mentioned in Roald Dahl's The Witches as the setting for the Hotel Magnificent. In Jacqueline Wilson's 1997 book, The Lottie Project, it is said that the main characters visit Bournemouth and the Russell Coates Museum. In Peter Weir's highly acclaimed 1975 film adaptation of Joan Lindsay's enigmatic 1968 novel, Picnic at Hanging Rock, bygone holidays at Bournemouth are wistfully recalled by Mrs. Appleyard (played by Rachel Roberts), headmistress of Mrs. Appleyard's College for Girls, in Australia.
The cover of the Beatles' second album With The Beatles was photographed in Bournemouth. It was taken at the Palace Court Hotel by Robert Freeman during the group's week-long summer season in August 1963 at the Gaumont Cinema on Westover Road.
The cover sleeve for All Around the World by Oasis was shot at Bournemouth, it features four of the bandmates standing on the beach and looking up towards to the sky, while the words All Around The World are written in the sand.
The indie rock band Air Traffic are from Bournemouth. They released 3 top 40 singles in 2007.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:

SUMMARY
=======
Wallis Simpson (born Bessie Wallis Warfield; 19 June 1896 – 24 April 1986), later known as the Duchess of Windsor, was an American socialite whose intended marriage to the British king Edward VIII caused a constitutional crisis that led to Edward's abdication.
Wallis grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. Her father died shortly after her birth and she and her widowed mother were partly supported by their wealthier relatives. Her first marriage, to U.S. naval officer Win Spencer, was punctuated by periods of separation and eventually ended in divorce. In 1931, during her second marriage, to Ernest Simpson, she met Edward, then Prince of Wales. Five years later, after Edward's accession as King of the United Kingdom, Wallis divorced her second husband to marry Edward.
The King's desire to marry a woman who had two living ex-husbands threatened to cause a constitutional crisis in the United Kingdom and the Dominions, and ultimately led to his abdication in December 1936 to marry the woman I love. After abdicating, the former king was created Duke of Windsor by his brother and successor, King George VI. Wallis married Edward six months later, after which she was formally known as the Duchess of Windsor, but was not allowed to share her husband's style of Royal Highness.
Before, during, and after the Second World War, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor were suspected by many in government and society of being Nazi sympathisers. In 1937, they visited Germany and met Adolf Hitler. In 1940, the Duke was appointed governor of the Bahamas, and the couple moved to the islands until he relinquished the office in 1945. In the 1950s and 1960s, the Duke and Duchess shuttled between Europe and the United States living a life of leisure as society celebrities. After the Duke's death in 1972, the Duchess lived in seclusion and was rarely seen in public. Her private life has been a source of much speculation, and she remains a controversial figure in British history.
