Confederate Soldier Grave in Edinburgh Scotland died at the Battle of Munfordville
Edinburgh-born Confederate Colonel Robert A. Smith who died in 1862 at Munfordsville, Kentucky in the American Civil War. (On the monument the name and date of the battle on the monument is correct, however the name of the town is misspelled as Mumfordsville instead of Munfordville.) Robert has another Larger Monument at the battle site and his own page on Wikipedia where it is suggested that Smith was deliberately sacrificed by his commanding officer who was jealous of him. Robert Smith's brother James was responsible for both monuments. There is modern brass plaque and Confederate flag.
Could their be an interesting documentary here? how did he end up fighting for the South , and there is the prodigious effort of his brother to see him properly commemorated.
