Keokradong is the second highest mountain of Bangladesh. Keokradong is about 4,035 ft (1,230 meters) high from the sea level. It is situated in 30km away from the Ruma sadar upazilla of Bandarban in Bangladesh. This remote area is full of natural beauty. Here you can see many small and big mountains and hills. This area is covered with dense forests, birds and animals.

This is Sonia Zarin. Few days back I had been to Bandarban. Bandarban is a hidden gem. It is surrounded by beautiful places.
The main purpose of visiting Bandarban was to visit Boga lake and Keokradong. I have segmented my journey into 2 parts.First part of my journey is already uploaded, here is the link of the video:



Second part of the video is all about my journey to keokradong. It was my second trekking trip and keokradong journey had been an amazing experience.

ঢাকা-বান্দরবন-রুমাবাজার-বগালেক-দার্জিলিং পাড়া-কেওক্রাডং
১. ঢাকা টু বান্দরবান শ্যামলী পরিবহন বাসের টিকেট( এসি- ১৪০০টাকা,নন এসি-৬২০ টাকা)
২.বান্দরবান টু রুমা বাজার চাঁদের গাড়ি (রিজার্ভ) যাওয়ার সময়- ৪৫০০-৫৫০০টাকা, আসার সময়- ৩০০০ টাকা
৩. রুমা বাজার থেকে বগালেক চাঁদের গাড়ি (রিজার্ভ) যাওয়ার সময় - ২০০০টাকা। আসার সময় - ২০০০ টাকা।
৪. গাইড খরচ - ২০০০-২৬০০ টাকা থাকা খাওয়া খরচসহ ( ফিক্সড) ২দিনের জন্য।৫. বগালেক কটেজ ভাড়া প্রতিজন- ১৫০ টাকা।
৬.কেওক্রাডং কটেজ ভাড়া প্রতিজন-৩০০ টাকা।
৭.বগালেকে খাওয়া খরচ -১২০/১৫০ টাকা প্রতিজন।
৮.কেওক্রাডংয়ে খাওয়া খরচ -১৫০/২০০টাকা প্রতিজন।
৯.কেওক্রাডংয়ে গোসলের জন্য এক বালতি পানি-৫০ টাকা।
১০. মাংস,ভাত,আলুভর্তা, ডাল,সবজি খেলে ২০০-২২০ টাকা পরবে প্রতিজন।ভাত,ডিম,আলুভর্তা, ডাল,সব্জি খেলে ১০০-১৫০ টাকা পরবে প্রতিজন।

কিছু বিষয় লক্ষণীয় :
১. পাহাড়ের মানুষ অনেক পরিস্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন। কাজেই, ঘুরতে যেয়ে দয়া করে পরিবেশ নষ্ট করবেন না। চিংড়ি ঝর্ণায় পানির বোতল, চিপসের প্যাকেট, কলার খোসা পড়ে থাকতে দেখেছি যা আসলে দুঃখজনক।
২. পাহাড়ের মানুষের জীবনযাত্রা,পোশাক ভিন্ন। কাজেই, তাদেরকে দেখে এমন কোনো অশোভন আচরণ করবেন না যাতে তারা কষ্ট পায়। আর তারা অত্যন্ত সরল প্রকৃতির।কাজেই তাদের ঠকাবেন না কারন ওরা কিন্তু টাকার হিসাব ভালোমতো বুঝেনা।আর অযথাই দামাদামি করবেন না।ওরা অনেক কষ্ট করে ভাই।ওই জীবন কল্পনাও করা যায় না।
৩. ট্রেকিংয়ের সময় কখনো নিচে খাদের দিকে তাকাবেন না। মাথা ঘুরাবে। সমতল জায়গায় দাঁড়িয়ে লেভেল বরাবর তাকিয়ে ভিউ দেখবেন।
৪. পানি, স্যালাইন, গ্লুকোজ, কলা, খেঁজুর এগুলো খাবেন।ইন্সট্যান্ট এনার্জি পাবেন।
৫.রুমা বাজার থেকে সু, এংকল গার্ড, নি গার্ড কিনে নিবেন।
৬. জুতা স্লিপারি হয়ে গেলে লতাপাতার সাথে ঘষে নিবেন আর ঝর্ণা পেলে ধুয়ে নিবেন। পরে হাঁটতে সহজ হবে।
৭.কেওক্রাডং যাওয়ার উপযুক্ত সময় ডিসেম্বর -জানুয়ারী। যাওয়ার আগেই গাইড দের সাথে যোগাযোগ করে সব ঠিক করে রাখবেন। আর অবশ্যই ৫-৬ ঘন্টা হাঁটার মনমানসিকতা নিয়ে যাবেন। পাহাড়ি রাস্তায় হাঁটা আর সমতল রাস্তায় হাঁটা কিন্তু একরকম না।
যদি কেউ এক্সট্রিম এডভেঞ্চার পছন্দ করেন তবে এধরনের ট্রেকিং ট্রিপ হতে পারে বেস্ট অপশন।পাহাড় হচ্ছে রোমাঞ্চকর অদ্ভুত সুন্দর জায়গা যেখানে প্রতি সেকেন্ডে প্রকৃতি তার রূপ বদলায়।

কেওক্রাডং বাংলাদেশের পঞ্চম সর্বোচ্চ পর্বতশৃঙ্গ। এর উচ্চতা ৩১৭২ ফুট। এটি বাংলাদেশের বান্দরবানের রুমা উপজেলায় অবস্থিত। এক সময় এটিই বাংলাদেশের সর্বোচ্চ পর্বতশৃঙ্গ ছিল। যদিও আধুনিক গবেষণায় এই তথ্য ভুল প্রমাণিত হয়েছে। বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশের সর্বোচ্চ শৃঙ্গ সাকাহাফং বা মদক তুং।
দূর থেকে কেওক্রাডংয়ের চূড়াকে ধোয়াটে মনে হয়। সাদা মেঘে ঢাকা। হাওয়ার ঝাপটায় দাঁড়ানো দায়। বৃষ্টি–বাতাস-মেঘ সময় সময় দখল নেয় চূড়ার আশপাশ।

কেওক্রাডং যেতে হলে আপনাকে প্রথমে যেতে হবে বান্দরবান। বান্দরবান শহর থেকে ১৫ টাকা অটো ভাড়া দিয়ে রুমা বাজার যাওয়ার বাসস্ট্যান্ড। প্রথম বাস সকাল ৮ টায়। প্রথম বাসটাই ধরার চেষ্টা করবেন। ভাড়া ১১০ টাকা। সময় লাগবে ২.৫ থেকে ৩ ঘন্টা।
রুমা বাজার নেমে গাইডের সাথে আর্মি ক্যাম্পে সব দরকারি কাগজপত্রের কাজ শেষ করবেন। আর্মি ক্যাম্পের কাজ শেষে চান্দের গাড়ি নিয়ে বগালেক যেতে হবে। চান্দের গাড়ির ভাড়া ২০০০ টাকা, ১৪/১৫ জনের মত যেতে পারবেন।

বগালেকে আর্মি ক্যাম্পে পেপার জমা দিয়ে কেওক্রাডং এর উদ্দেশ্যে যাত্রা শুরু করতে হবে। স্যালাইন, শুকনা খাবার, পানি নিয়ে নিবেন। প্রায় ৮/৯ কিমি হাইক এবং বগালেক থেকে কেওক্রাডং এর এলিভেশন ডিফারেন্স প্রায় ২০০০ ফিট। হাটার উপর ডিপেন্ড করে ৪ ঘন্টার আশেপাশে সময় লাগবে কেওক্রাডং পৌছাতে।

Keokradong

Keokradong is the second highest mountain of Bangladesh. Keokradong is about 4,035 ft (1,230 meters) high from the sea level. It is situated in 30km away from the Ruma sadar upazilla of Bandarban in Bangladesh. This remote area is full of natural beauty. Here you can see many small and big mountains and hills. This area is covered with dense forests, birds and animals.
Keokradong Mountain is located on the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar. It is the place of surprising beauty. This natural beauty is surely attracts the mind of the adventurous people. In the winter season many adventurous tourist visit this place with great excitement. You will pleased with the dazzling beauty of green hill, cool fountains, zigzag path, hilly road side, hide and seek game of clouds on the top of the hill.

How to go Keokradong

For visiting Keokradong you have to reach at Bandarban first then go to Ruma Upazilla. Ruma is 50 kilometer away from Bandarban. You should remember that after 4 pm you are not allowed to leave Ruma for visiting Bogalake, Keokradong or Tajingdong. As it is a remote area of Bangladesh, the road is not so plain. The communication systems of Bogalake become very difficult in the Rainy season. The road is still under construction. From Ruma you can hire a pickup or jeep (locally known as “Chander Gari”) up to Koikhong Jiri at the fare of Tk. 1800-2000. You can also go there by buying tickets of Chander Gari or Bus. The first trip is at 9am. It will take 1-1.30 hrs. Koikhong Jiri to Ruma you have to go by one hour boat journey. Again Ruma to Boga Lake you should hire a jeep at the fare of Tk. 1800. Two tribal communities named Saikotpara and Darjilingpara are 4 km away from Bogalake. There are some tribal groups live in this area. Darjilingpara is about 1 km away from Keokradong. It will take another 45 minute to reach the highest point of Keokradong and you have to walk through the hills from Boga Lake to Keokradong to go there.

Some information to visit Keokradong

Remember that, this journey is very much laborious. So keep confidence. Always carry drinking water and first aid box with you. Show positive attitude with local people and should respect the tribal culture.There are some residential hotels in Ruma Bazar, so you have to confirm at first the hotel reservation before going to Ruma, otherwise you will have no alternative passing the night. If you are fortunate you can get tribal house to pass the night.
In Bogalake There is no other accommodation facility except the rest houses of district council. There is no mobile network, no restaurant and also no good road communication. You should start your journey early in the morning from Bogalake to reach Keokradong and it may take 5 to 6 hours to reach Keokradong. However, the sceneries of cool air, white clouds, hills, river and lake are really unique and incomparable. If you go there obviously you can get an enjoyable, delightful and thrilling experience.

BOGA LAKE TO KEOKRADONG HILL BANDARBAN

Boga Lake to Keokradonng was a milestone trip for me because it is not easy to reach the Keokradong peak. But still, we, 31 trekkers made it possible.

Keokradong is the 5th highest peak of Bangladesh, which is located in Bandarban. In this vlog I described a little bit about how to go to Keokradong, how to go to Boga Lake and our whole trip. I hope all you guys will enjoy this a lot.

কেওক্রাডং এর চূড়ায় ঝড়ের কবলে?

As it is being a very hard journey for me as a YouTuber, reaching 1000 subscribers is a big achievement for me. My videos get less reach due to the 'non-main stream' type of my videos. Still I enjoy making these kind of slow, peaceful nature videos, although they are not a matter of interest to most of the people online. I feel a great amount of happiness inside me while making those videos. Most of the people do not like them. But some people does. I get inspired when someone actually love my videos and intend to make more. And Inshallah will keep making my 'non-main stream' type videos for my dear subscribers, admirers who actually love them and also for myself. So on a small achievement of 1k subscribers I decided to make a video on my most favourite place of Bangladesh, and it's Keukradong, the fourth highest mountain of our country.

While a trek to keukradong with my lovely wife, at the peak we faced extreme weather change which was a bit unexpected. But still we spent some peaceful time there and felt very close to the nature as always. This video is all about sharing some of those quiet and calm experience with you all. Boga Lake, Keokaradong, Darjeeling Para, Ruma, Bandarban | Bandarban Tour | Travel Bangladesh |

Bogakain (বগাকাইন) Lake, also called Baga Lake or Boga Lake, is a lake located in Ruma Upazila in the hill district Bandarban, Bangladesh. It is a natural sweet and deep water lake. It is about 3000 feet above sea level.

রুমা টু কমলাবাজার চান্দের গাড়ি- ২০০ টাকা (রিজার্ভ ২৫০০ টাকা নিবে, একটা গাড়িতে ১৩ জন বসা যায়)

বগালেকে রাতে থাকা- ১৫০ টাকা

রাতের খাবার- ১৫০ টাকা

২য় দিন সকালের নাস্তা- ৮০ টাকা

দুপুরের খাবার- ১৫০ টাকা

ফেরার পথে চান্দের গাড়ি ভাড়া- ২০০

গাইডের খরচ- ১৫০ টাকা (২ দিনে গাইডকে ১২০০ টাকা দিতে হয়, উনার থাকা খাওয়ার খরচও আপনাদের বহন করতে হবে, ছোট একটা ফরমও কিনতে হয়, টোটাল ২০০০ এর বেশি না, তাহলে ১৩ জন গেলে জনপ্রতি ১৫০ টাকাই পড়বে)

বান্দরবনে বাসে উঠার আগে রাতের খাবার- ১৪০

কেওক্রাডং এর চূড়ায় একদিন | Keokradong | Bandarban

কেওক্রাডং/ Keukradong/ Keokradong ; বাংলাদেশের পঞ্চম সর্বোচ্চ পর্বত, যার উচ্চতা প্রায় ৩,২৩৫ ফিট। বাংলাদেশের বেশ কিছু দর্শনীয় জায়গার মধ্যে কেওক্রাডং অন্যতম। প্রকৃতির অপার সৌন্দর্য দিয়ে ঘেরা এই চূড়াটি পর্বতারোহীদের কাছে 'হানিমুন স্পট' হিসাবেও পরিচিত। এর কারণ এখানে বান্দরবান , রুমা থেকে বগালেক হয়ে অনেক স্বল্প কষ্টেই পৌঁছে যাওয়া যায় এবং বেশ আরামেই রাত্রি যাপন করা যায়। একসময় মোটামুটি দূর্গম থাকলেও এখন কেওক্রাডং বেশ সহজলভ্য একটি জায়গা। কিন্তু যত সহজেই যাওয়া যাক না কেন এর সৌন্দর্যের কোন কমতি নাই। চূড়ার ঠিক পাশেই আছে বাংলাদেশের সর্বোচ্চ উচ্চতায় বসবাস যোগ্য , খুবই সাদা সিধা, অনাড়ম্বর একটি দুই রুমওয়ালা রিসোর্ট, যেটির পূর্ণ মালিকানা হচ্ছে কেওক্রাডং এর মালিক লালাদা'র।

কেওক্রাডং এর উপর একটি দিন যাপন অথবা রাত্রি যাপনের যে অনুভূতি, চূড়ায় বসে দূর দূরান্তের আকাশ ছোঁয়া (আমাদের জন্য আকাশ ছোঁয়াই) পাহাড়গুলির দিকে তাকিয়ে নীরবে নিভৃতে কিছু সময় একাকী উপভোগের যে আনন্দ, তা প্রেমিকার ভালবাসার চাইতে কম কিছু নয়।

Bogalake to Keokradong||Bandarban trip

Me with my 8 friends planed a trip for Bandarban . We started 29th dec and came back 2nd Jan. Here is our trip plan:
29th dec- 10.30pm took bus for Bandarban
Day 1- Bandarban to ruma bazar took guide and permission from ruma bazar to boga lake by chader gari and 1 hour tracking
Day 2- Boga lake stay and 31st night done
Day 3- Keokradong tracking and stay
Day 4- Back to boga lake then ruma bazar came back by boat to bandarban.
Total budget for person 5500 taka

Bogakain Lake, also called Baga Lake or Boga Lake, is a lake located in Ruma Upazilla in the hill district Bandarban, Bangladesh. It is a natural sweet and deep water lake. Its height from sea level is nearly 1,246 feet (380 m). Geologists believe that it was created by collection of rain water in the crater of a dead volcano almost 2000 years ago. The lake is rectangular in shape.

A local legend tells that the lake was created after the inhabitants of a Khumi village killed and ate a deity who later reappeared to them in the form of a dragon. Instantly an earthquake occurred, the hillside caved in, and the village disappeared and formed a deep lake.The water color of the lake varies at different times at a day depending upon the sun light, humidity and clouds.

Only a few people in trekking community of Bangladesh do not know the local legend 'Siam didi'. She is the first one to start business in Boga lake and is very famous among the trekking community. It was an interview with Siam didi sharing the myth about boga lake, remembering the old times with some mesmerizing aerial view of nature around Boga lake.

Keokradong is the second highest mountain of Bangladesh. Keokradong is about 4,035 ft (1,230 meters) high from the sea level. It is situated in 30km away from the Ruma sadar upazilla of Bandarban in Bangladesh. This remote area is full of natural beauty. Here you can see many small and big mountains and hills. This area is covered with dense forests, birds and animals.

This is my 2nd Vlog .
Had a great experience of Adventurous Trekking in KEOKRADONG .

Keokradong is a peak located in Bandarban, Bangladesh, with an elevation of 986 metres (3,235 ft).Some sources claim it as the highest point of Bangladesh.

On the top of Keokradong there is a small shelter and a signboard put up by Bangladesh Army proclaiming the elevation to be 967 metres (3,173 ft).

Height measured by handheld GPS shows it is 986 metres (3,235 ft) with 3m accuracy.
