Kerr Farm Vineyard About
Elegant, fruit driven wines from one of Auckland's closest vineyards.
Open every weekend from 11am until 5pm.
Google+
Kerr Farm Vineyard is one of the closest Vineyards to Auckland. We produce boutique, estate grown wines; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon.
We are proud that our Sauvignon Blanc is one of the very few grown in Auckland, and like our other estate grown wines is crafted by our winemaker to enhance the unique characters of the Kumeu heritage grape growing region. Research by the wine writers Sue Courtney of the Webzine and Peter May of the worldwide Pinotage Club pinotageclub.blogspot.com indicates that our Pinotage vines are some of the oldest in New Zealand.
We make our wines only from Estate grown grapes.
We are not completely organic however we do nurture our vines within the principles of organics and the Sustainable Wine New Zealand group guidelines. Sunshine and gentle breezes on our softly rolling landscape add to our success in achieving the varietal fruit driven flavours and characters in our selective wine production.
I would like to invite you for a wine tasting. Cheers Jaison

Working On A Vineyard In New Zealand
This is our very first working experience and it's on a vineyard!
We both had not done anything like it so it was a great experience.
We worked pretty hard and met great people, all in all we had a blast :)

Grapes to Glass: Work in a New Zealand Wine Factory
Turn on subtitles for more information.
For about eight months, I worked night shift in a wine factory in Marlborough, New Zealand. This is a video I made showing the process of taking wine from vats, bottling it, labeling it, boxing it, and preparing it to be shipped to Canada.
Thanks to all of the wonderful night shift staff at WineWorks Marlborough.
Special thanks to David Day and Whitehaven wine who let me film their product being bottled.
All filming and editing were done by me, George A. Boyle.
