100 hours on a deserted island in Denmark

Father and son kayaking to a remote island in the beautifully Hindsholm area north of Kerteminde, Funen.

The journey out in the wild Funen nature is a celebration of the honor, as FYN being appointed; Best Outdoor Destination 2019 by Scandinavian Outdoor Award TRAVEL in Berlin, Germany.

The island has played a historic role since 1000 AD. Starting in the ancient viking era passing through dangerous times when privateer Marsk Stig prevailed the territory until present time where the stunning landscape still captivates artists/painters as the the famous Johannes Larsen and Fritz Syberg to the world famous lyric H. C. Andersen and off cause outdoor enthusiasts world wide.

We did setup a primitive bivouac/shelter at the beach during the 5 day endeavour. Unfortunately Tiger injured him self by falling on a slippery rock, but as the brave men before him he insisted of continuing the rest off the 5 day long stay with the wounded hand.

Today we enjoyed wonderful weather as we cycled along the east coast of Funen. On the way we passed through the town of Nyborg before arriving at our final campsite in Kerteminde.

An out of breath report (sorry) from a hike on Djurslands east-coast in Denmark. Start: At the vintage point, Jernhatten - The Iron Hat, with the the island Hjelm, The Helmet close (viking names) Big sea-trout are caught here. Walkable stone beach with interesting geology. Clean sea-water, fresh air, hardly any or o people. Close to Ebeltoft on Mols with a lot of rental cottages - varied coastlines and landscapes.
