Jalan menuju objek wisata pun padat dan macet. Sebagian besar wisatawan menyewa kendaraan untuk menghabiskan masa libur di Pulau Dewata.
Sementara itu, sebanyak 10 ribu wisatawan mendarat di terminal kedatangan domestik Bandara Ngurah Rai. Sedangkan jumlah wisatawan mancanegara yang tiba di terminal kedatangan internasional mencapai 8.000 orang.

Het culinaire festival Taste of Amsterdam heeft dit jaar een primeur: vier meesterchefs van de Indonesische keuken presenteren nieuwe en oude gerechten in stijl. De Indonesische ambassadeur in Nederland, mevrouw Retno L.P. Marsudi, heeft zich persoonlijk ingezet voor de realisatie van een Indonesisch paviljoen waar de koks van restaurant Blauw, het Hilton en Indonesian Fine Dining hun krachten bundelen. Samen dragen zij zorg voor kookdemonstraties en de proeverij van exotische gerechten.
De echte Indonesische keuken biedt zoveel meer dan Babi Pangang en Nasi Rames zegt Agus Hermawan van restaurant Blauw. Samen met Eduard Roesdi van Indonesian Fine Dining, Gentur Respati van het Hilton en Didi Han verzorgt hij het culinaire programma.
Wij geven vier meesterchefs graag de gelegenheid om de traditionele smaken van onze keuken in een nieuwe stijl te presenteren. Cultureel attaché Bonifatius Herindra zag de mogelijkheden van Taste of Amsterdam. Asinan, Kue Lumpur, Tahu Telur, Bir Pletok; het zijn gerechten die bijna niemand kent. De chefs gaan deze en andere gerechten 'highlighten' in hun demonstraties en bij de proeverijen. Op zo'n manier dat de 'Smaak van Indonesië' optimaal tot zijn recht komt.
De vier chefs worden ondersteund door Detty Janssen, culinaire journaliste voor Indonesië, Renske Walsarie Wolff en Renu Lubis van Indonediair, Indonesia Netherlands Intermediary.
