Explore the seaside town of Kiama on the NSW South Coast
Located less than two hours’ drive south of Sydney, the Kiama region is a real treasure on the South Coast of New South Wales. The name of the seaside town comes from the aboriginal word ‘Kiaram-a’, meaning ‘where the sea makes noise’. The town’s name makes reference to the Kiama blowhole, the largest nature blowhole in the world – a must-see on a visit to Kiama.
Kiama is a truly beautiful town, and you couldn’t choose a better place of a holiday park. BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park is one of Australia’s oldest and most historic holiday parks. Once a dairy farm in the 1850, the park has transformed over the past 80 years to become a haven for holiday-makers. The stunning surrounds are alive with people enjoying the good life; fishing, paddle boarding, swimming, flying kites, soaking up sun on the beach - the park embodies the true spirit of the Aussie holiday.

AUSTRALIA - NAN TIEN TEMPLE - WOLLONGONG NSW
Hi and welcome to my channel, I hope you will sit a while and enjoy some of my little videos. Please ensure you watch them as intended in 1080p, (choose 1080p in settings at bottom of screen) as Youtube sometimes does not screen them in all their glory!
We recently had a mini break in Wollongong, and came across this gorgeous Buddhist Temple:-Nan Tien Temple (Chinese: 南天寺; pinyin: Nántiān Sì; literally: 'Southern Heaven Temple') is a Buddhist temple complex located in Berkeley, on the southern outskirts of the Australian city of Wollongong, approximately 80 kilometres (50 mi) south of Sydney.[1]
Nan Tien is one of the branch temples of the Taiwanese Fo Guang Shan Buddhist order, founded in 1967 by Hsing Yun,[2] which has over 120 branches worldwide. The temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the southern hemisphere.
It was founded by and constructed under the auspices of the Mahayana Buddhist organization known as Fo Guang Shan, and completed in 1995. The organization itself was founded in Taiwan in 1967 by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, and has 120 branches throughout the world. Fo Guang Shan Buddhism is rooted in the Mahayana tradition which emphasises that Buddhahood is within everyone's potential reach. Fo Guang Shan followers strive to bring Buddhism into daily life and describe their philosophy as Humanistic Buddhism.
The site of the Australian branch's temple was reputedly chosen by Hsing Yun due to its proximity to Mount Kembla, which is said to have an auspicious resemblance to a recumbent lion. It overlooks both Mount Keira and Mount Kembla. The land was donated by the Australian government.
The temple is one of Wollongong's major tourist attractions, and conducts regular weekend retreats for visitors interested in Buddhism in general, and Chinese culture in particular. Retreats can involve classes in t'ai chi, calligraphy and meditation.
Accommodation for retreat participants and members of the general public is available at the Pilgrim Lodge, a 100-room motel-style facility located in the temple grounds adjacent to its large lotus pond.
It is regarded as an orthodox Buddhist temple by local Chinese Buddhists, in contrast with some other shrines which worship Buddhist, Taoist, and mystical heroes in the same building. It frequently hosts festivals.

Day Trip To Kiama Blowhole and Wollongong | 凯阿玛天然喷水洞和卧龙岗市
A trip to Kiama and Wollongong to escape the city for a day of relaxation and fun. Kiama is approximately 1 ½ hours away from Sydney CBD, making it the perfect day escape from the city life.
Our first stop is The Little Blowhole. It might not be as big as the main blowhole, but do not underestimate its power. At times the Little Blowhole can be more promising and the views are absolutely stunning.
Next stop is the main blowhole. No visit is ever complete to Kiama without visiting this natural wonder. We do not have the luck to see the spectacular views of this blowhole on this trip as Jun is not the blowhole peak.
Around the blowhole point, there is this lovely park where you can work on your tan, enjoy a picnic, take a lovely stroll or maybe check out the spectacular rock formations.

Virtual Treadmill Walk - Minnamurra Falls Rainforest - NSW, Australia
Within a two-hour drive south of Sydney, the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre is located just 15 km west of Kiama on the NSW South Coast (Tourist Drive ’9’). The centre offers visitors an opportunity to experience a rare rainforest remnant which is representative of the once extensive rainforests of the Illawarra region.
Be sure to check out the amazing Waterfall at 31:00 and also listen to the awesome birdlife starting around the 40:00 mark
I have been asked by a couple of viewers if it was possible to leave the original sound intact. Usually I find it either overly windy, or that I'm having a conversation with my wife who is following me with our dog Buddy. Obviously you can always turn the volume down and play your favourite music instead :)
I am planning to do more walks/runs etc in the near future. So please let me know if you have any suggestions for the channel, as I'd love to hear from you :)

Hallelujah Flash Mob - Shellharbour NSW
On December 8, 2012 forty people surreptitiously gathered in Stockland Shellharbour to enact a parable of Christmas.
In the center of the modern marketplace, among unsuspecting people, unexpected and unannounced, a song began. Four singers, in four part harmony, quietly infiltrated the noise and bustle of the busy pre-Christmas Saturday morning shopping. The song announced the Hallelujah-praise to God, the one who reigns, and to his Christ who brings the Kingdom of our Lord to infiltrate and challenge the kingdom of this world.
