Godalming
Godalming is a historic market town, civil parish and administrative centre of the Borough of Waverley in Surrey, England, 4 miles SSW of Guildford, traversing the banks of the River Wey in a hilly, heavily wooded part of the outer London commuter belt and Green Belt which is the Greensand Ridge. Godalming is 30.5 mi southwest of London and shares a three-way twinning arrangement with the towns of Joigny in France and Mayen in Germany. Friendship links are in place with the state of Georgia and Moscow. James Oglethorpe of Godalming was the founder of the colony of Georgia.
Godalming is regarded as an expensive residential town, partly due to its visual appeal, favourable transport links and high proportion of private housing. In recent years it has been ranked the UK's third most desirable property hotspot, voted the fourth best area of the UK in which to live and judged in 2013 to have the highest quality of life in Great Britain.

Harlequins 20 13 Wasps Ill discipline overshadows hosts elevation into Premiership top four
Harlequins 20-13 Wasps: Ill discipline overshadows hosts elevation into Premiership top four. A spit from Dave Ward marred Harlequins’ march back into the top four as dodgy discipline peppered their Big Game win over Wasps.
Quins won thanks to tries from Alex Dombrandt, his seventh in 10 games for the club, and Joe Marchant, but the fireworks on the pitch matched those off it.
The worst of a number of unsavoury incidents in front of 82,000 fans – a fourth sell-out in 11 of these post-Christmas matches – surrounded Ward who could now face a big ban if cited in the next 24 hours.
HARLEQUINS: Brown; Earle, Marchant, Saili, Murley; Smith, Care; Marler, Ward, Sinckler, Symons, Glynn, Dombrandt, Clifford, Chisholm (capt)
REPLACEMENTS: Crumpton, Auterac, Collier, Merrick, Bothma, Mulchrone, Lang, Ibitoye.
TRIES: Dombrandt, Marchant, CON: Smith 2, PEN: Smith 2
WASPS: Le Roux; Bassett, Campagnaro, Le Bourgeois, Daly; Sopoaga, Robson; Harris, Cruse, Cooper-Woolley, Rowlands, Myall, Shields (capt), Young, Carr.
REPLACEMENTS: Harris, Zhvania, Stuart, Matthews, Morris, Hampson, Searle, De Jongh

REFEREE: Craig Maxwell-Keys
Bans for spitting are covered under acts ‘against the spirit of good sportsmanship’ on the RFU’s disciplinary list and start at four weeks for a low-end offence, going up to 12 or more for the top-end.
Referee Craig Maxwell-Keys appeared not to see the Quins hooker spit in the direction of Wasps back-rowers Nizaam Carr and Thomas Young, who were on the ground after a scrum collapsed 11 minutes in.
After the spit Ward then trod on Young’s ankle – the reason the referee sent him to the sin-bin after a review.
Sean Davey, the Television Match Official, alerted Maxwell-Keys to the stamp but never mentioned a spit – which was clearly visible and picked up by co-commentator Austin Healey on BT Sport.
‘He spits on him, and then stamps on his ankle – you don’t need that,’ said the former England back on television.
‘He’s lucky he has not got more there, if you spit on a player it is completely unacceptable.’
Afterwards Wasps director of rugby Dai Young, and Quins Head of Rugby Paul Gustard said they did not see a spit but Young was angered by Ward treading on his son.
‘There's no need for that rubbish in the game,’ he said of the stamp.
‘The game is hard enough without all that nonsense. It was plain to see him walk over and stamp on his ankle. What is the point in that?
‘It could have been a red card. I thought we'd gone past that.
‘That (tussle) is what you're going to get when you play Quins – you know what you'll get.
‘They'll be in your face with lots of barracking. We've had that every time we play them.
‘Saracens have commented the same. You have to rise above it and make sure it doesn't put you off your game, although I don't think it did.’
Minutes earlier Ward had attempted to clear Young out of a ruck with a dangerous neck-roll, which led to a scrap, so was already on thin ice.
There was yet more ill-discipline as Joe Marler berated assistant referee Simon McConnell late on too, shouting in his face several times after a tussle with a Wasps forward.
And Gustard was livid that Josh Bassett was not punished for tackling Mike Brown in the air.
‘82,000 people saw someone landing on the top of his shoulders. It was irresponsible and could have been a nasty accident. Thankfully Mike is ok, but for me that was a big moment in the game.’
Wasps are now down in seventh after the defeat, and will sink further today after Bath and Leicester play. They were behind after 49 seconds when Dombrandt scored from a lovely lineout move, looping round the blind-side.
After Ward was sin-binned Marcus Smith hit two penalties and Elliot Daly one, which meant Quins led 10-3 at the break.
Prop Will Stuart piled over for a Wasps converted try after an

My Friend Irma: Irma's Inheritance / Dinner Date / Manhattan Magazine
My Friend Irma, created by writer-director-producer Cy Howard, is a top-rated, long-run radio situation comedy, so popular in the late 1940s that its success escalated to films, television, a comic strip and a comic book, while Howard scored with another radio comedy hit, Life with Luigi. Marie Wilson portrayed the title character, Irma Peterson, on radio, in two films and a television series. The radio series was broadcast from April 11, 1947 to August 23, 1954.
Dependable, level-headed Jane Stacy (Cathy Lewis, Diana Lynn) began each weekly radio program by narrating a misadventure of her innocent, bewildered roommate, Irma, a dim-bulb stenographer from Minnesota. The two central characters were in their mid-twenties. Irma had her 25th birthday in one episode; she was born on May 5. After the two met in the first episode, they lived together in an apartment rented from their Irish landlady, Mrs. O'Reilly (Jane Morgan, Gloria Gordon).
Irma's boyfriend Al (John Brown) was a deadbeat, barely on the right side of the law, who had not held a job in years. Only someone like Irma could love Al, whose nickname for Irma was Chicken. Al had many crazy get-rich-quick schemes, which never worked. Al planned to marry Irma at some future date so she could support him. Professor Kropotkin (Hans Conried), the Russian violinist at the Princess Burlesque theater, lived upstairs. He greeted Jane and Irma with remarks like, My two little bunnies with one being an Easter bunny and the other being Bugs Bunny. The Professor insulted Mrs. O'Reilly, complained about his room and reluctantly became O'Reilly's love interest in an effort to make her forget his back rent.
Irma worked for the lawyer, Mr. Clyde (Alan Reed). She had such an odd filing system that once when Clyde fired her, he had to hire her back again because he couldn't find anything. Useless at dictation, Irma mangled whatever Clyde dictated. Asked how long she had been with Clyde, Irma said, When I first went to work with him he had curly black hair, then it got grey, and now it's snow white. I guess I've been with him about six months.
Irma became less bright as the program evolved. She also developed a tendency to whine or cry whenever something went wrong, which was at least once every show. Jane had a romantic inclination for her boss, millionaire Richard Rhinelander (Leif Erickson), but he had no real interest in her. Another actor in the show was Bea Benaderet.
Katherine Elisabeth Wilson (August 19, 1916 -- November 23, 1972), better known by her stage name, Marie Wilson, was an American radio, film, and television actress. She may be best remembered as the title character in My Friend Irma.
Born in Anaheim, California, Wilson began her career in New York City as a dancer on the Broadway stage. She gained national prominence with My Friend Irma on radio, television and film. The show made her a star but typecast her almost interminably as the quintessential dumb blonde, which she played in numerous comedies and in Ken Murray's famous Hollywood Blackouts. During World War II, she was a volunteer performer at the Hollywood Canteen. She was also a popular wartime pin-up.
Wilson's performance in Satan Met a Lady, the second film adaptation of Dashiell Hammett's detective novel The Maltese Falcon, is a virtual template for Marilyn Monroe's later onscreen persona. Wilson appeared in more than 40 films and was a guest on The Ed Sullivan Show on four occasions. She was a television performer during the 1960s, working until her untimely death.
Wilson's talents have been recognized with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: for radio at 6301 Hollywood Boulevard, for television at 6765 Hollywood Boulevard and for movies at 6601 Hollywood Boulevard.
Wilson married four times: Nick Grinde (early 1930s), LA golf pro Bob Stevens (1938--39), Allan Nixon (1942--50) and Robert Fallon (1951--72).
She died of cancer in 1972 at age 56 and was interred in the Columbarium of Remembrance at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills.
