Kidderminster is a large town and civil parish in the Wyre Forest district of Worcestershire, England. Kidderminster is located approximately 17 miles south-west of Birmingham city centre and approximately 15 miles north of Worcester city centre.
A parliamentary report of 1777 listed Kidderminster Borough as having a parish workhouse accommodating up to 70 inmates. Under the so-called Gilbert's Act of 1782 Kidderminster Union was established for the purpose of relieving the indigent poor. Kidderminster has two Commissioners' churches. The first was St. George's church, on Radford Avenue. The second church was St. John's Church, on the Bewdley Road.
The River Stour and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal both flow through Kidderminster town centre. Kidderminster Town is a civil parish within Wyre Forest District, with Kidderminister Town Council created to take on the duties of a parish council following a referendum in May 2015.
Two railway stations in the town share the same approach road and are located less than fifty metres apart. The main Network Rail station operated by London Midland is Kidderminster, from where trains run to Birmingham, Worcester and London. The other station, Kidderminster Town, is the terminus of the preserved Heritage Railway line, Severn Valley Railway from where trains run to Bridgnorth.

Severn Valley Railway Half Term Trip FEBRUARY 2019! Kidderminster Town Station
This is a video that was filmed just two months ago and this video will also pay homage to leokimvideo, an Australian YouTuber who has got me the inspiration of making videos like these. The Severn Valley Railway is one of the nearest and local heritage steam railways I have ever came across and since 2011, my childhood of steam engines rolled with pride. (No pun intended) With the edition of the watermark here in this video here, this video will have a great resemblance to that of leokimvideo's videos that were uploaded during 2007-2014.
Hence the font in this video here.
The Severn Valley Railway features three locomotives including 75069, BR Standard class 4 and 2 GWR Locomotives which are numbered like so.
The tank locomotive numbers are.......
GWR No 813
7714 GWR Pannier Tank 5700 class locomotive
This video will also pay homage to leokimvideo with references of Dark Side knock off toy review videos and also the Thomas and Friends videos that leokimvideo made during his current time of 2007-present.
Subcribe for more content on my channel and give this video a like and I know my mic is not HD but it's such a good video to be made.
Subscribe to leokimvideo if you are a real fan of him!
Unlike leokimvideo's videos this video is done via Premiering on YouTube. It will be a normal shortly after Premiere!
Sorry for taking so long to produce this video but I actually enjoyed it alot!

The Severn Valley Railway is a heritage railway in Shropshire and Worcestershire, England. The 16-mile (26 km) heritage line runs along the Severn Valley from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster, crossing the Shropshire/Worcestershire border, following the course of the River Severn for much of its route. Train services are hauled predominantly by steam locomotives, plus one diesel hauled train, making two round trips a day, on most days. Diesel locomotives are also used for engineering trains, to replace failed steam locomotives at short notice, and during periods of high fire risk.

SVR Steam Gala 21 September 2013 - Kidderminster Town Station
The Severn Valley Autumn Gala videos on my little Sony Bloggie at Kidderminbster SVR Station. The clip starts with a glimpse of Great Western Railway tank engine 5643 and after a toot on the whistle cuts to steam era London North Eastern Railway beautiful teak coaches built between 1922 and 1943. On the front of that train is 'Cheltenham' a 4-4-0 express passenger locomotive built 1934 and on loan to SVR from the National Railway Museum, although this loco is now residing with another steam preservation group at the Mid Hants Railway in Hampshire, southern England. We see an 08 class shunter run in on the front of Great Western brown and cream rolling stock later retrieved by that little marshalling yard workhorse. Finally there is some footage of SVR based Battle of Britain Pacific class ' Sir Keith Park' named after a Kiwi air ace from World War One, a loco which also originated on the Southern Railway before the nationalisation of British Railways in 1948.

Kidderminster Station on the Severn Valley Railway
The Kidderminster Town station on the Severn Valley Railway is a fairly recent construction compared to the other 5 stations on the line. The ticket office and waiting room were constructed in 1984 with cobbled forecourt, period light fittings, wrought ironwork, signage and detailing that give the Kidderminster station building architectural integrity with a station of the Great Western era. Further extensions were added in 2006 including a concourse covered by a double ridged, glazed roof. The use of lattice girders fabricated from angle, with some curved sections and detailed support columns, help to create the feeling of a much older station. Kidderminster station has 2 large warehouses, one contains the Kidderminster Railway Museum and the other is the carriage works and paintshop. Beyond the 3 platforms, and the other side of a pedestrian footbridge (public - not Severn Valley Railway), is the only turntable on the Severn Valley and an absolutely colossal carriage shed.

BR Class 20s 'Choppers' Depart Kidderminster Town Station
BR Class 20s 'Choppers', nos. D8188 and 20227, Depart Kidderminster Town Station on Saturday 13th October 2007. The SVR diesel gala went ahead despite earlier being called off due to flood damage using the three locos lent to the railway to aid in the re-building effort. I only had time for 1 and a half round trips, plus the shunter shuttles to Northwood Lane, as I did the sponsored walk in the late morning and early afternoon. Check out for more still pictures of the event.
