The long version of the Children's Crusade includes events with similar references. A child said to have been visited by Jesus Christ, who commands you to write your own handwriting letters to be surrendered to the French king in which it states that it must lead a new crusade to recapture Jerusalem. The delivery boy and letters back to her people. The king is making a joke of those letters.
The child receives a second visit of Jesus Christ, now entrusted himself leading a crusade made by children to the city of Jerusalem, which fall into Christian hands for the purity and goodness of their souls. He also says that need not fear for the sea, as it will open as happened with Moses.
At the same time, a German boy says also been sent by Jesus Christ in the same company and brings together a rather smaller number of German children.
20,000 to 30,000 children are together and march to Nice (south of France). On his way they reach cities and towns, and wipe out the food they find. More than half of children on their way to Nice deserts and half starving.
Nice finally reach less than 2000 children and 200 adults. To open sea two weeks passed since praying until the sun rises is hidden; but nothing happens. Two merchants offer them seven ships to cross the sea to the Holy Land. Children climb aboard and sail boats. In Sardinia two boats sink. The five other lands come to Alexandria (Egypt), where 2000 children are sold as slaves by the two merchants who had given them the ships. That is the end of the Crusade.
Some historians say there were children but people and adults. Other indicate that a French child reached adult and returned to France become a priest, so the story is known.
According to recent research, it was found that there were two movements of people (of all ages) in 1212 in Germany and France, February 1 whose similarity could inspire the writers to develop the myth.
In the first movement Nicholas, a shepherd from Germany, led a group through the Alps to Italy in early spring. Around 7000 men came to Genoa in August. However, their plans did not bear fruit, because the water did not open as it passes, and the party was disbanded. Some made their way back home, others went to Rome, and the other may have followed the Rhone to Marseilles where they were probably sold into slavery. Few came to their homes, and none reached the Holy Land.
The second movement was led by a shepherd two named Stephen of Cloyes near the village of Châteaudun who claimed in June that Jesus carried a letter to the king of France. He attracted a group of 30,000, with whom he went to Saint-Denis, where he said he worked miracles. Under the orders of Philip II of France or the board of the University of Paris, the crowd was sent home, and many of them actually returned. None of the contemporary sources mention any plan to go to Jerusalem. Recent research suggests that participants were not children, or at least not so young.
In the early 1200, groups of homeless appeared in Europe. They were people displaced by economic changes, which forced many poor peasants in northern France and Germany to sell their land. These groups were called pueri (Latin for Boys, Boys) in a condescending manner, in the same way that the people in rural areas of the United States are called country boys. This resulted in these bands of poor men who were united in a religious protest that turned their forced wandering into a religious mission. The pueri marched, following Christian Cruz and partnering with the biblical journey of Jesus. This, however, was not the prelude to a holy war.
Years later, chroniclers read the accounts of these processions and translated the term pueri as children without understanding its original meaning. Thus he was born the Children's Crusade. The resulting story illustrates how deeply rooted it was the concept of cross at that time- the chroniclers assumed that pueri should have been crossed, and looked back on his innocence to the foundation of cross characteristics of Peter the Hermit and found the same kind of tragic fate.
According to Matthew Paris, one of the leaders of the Children's Crusade, passed in 1251 to be The Maître de Hongrie, the leader of the Crusade of the Shepherds.

A thriving modern gîte complex built in 2009 with a substantial owner's house and 4 one bedroom gîtes set around a swimming pool. In a lovely village setting, part of the land is constructible and could be used to build a further property.
Situated next door to the village boulangerie and within three minutes walk of the bar, the complex is ideally situated in the midst of the beautiful Perigord Vert countryside.
The owner's house was originally designed for a couple with three teenage children -- it provided three self-contained studio apartments on the ground floor with a kitchen and open plan living area on the first floor along with an Ensuite bedroom for the parents. The ground floor space has since been redesigned and now consists of one studio apartment and a two bedroom apartment which could be let out.
The ground floor layout remains very flexible and could very easily be further redesigned -- for example it could simply be laid out as four bedrooms. The current owner built the house and is happy to advise on how any required redesign could be best achieved.
The open plan living area on the first floor combines a fitted kitchen with a dining area and a lounge. Large, sliding glass doors open out onto a balcony from which full advantage can be made of the lovely open views whilst eating out in the summer.
The double bedroom on this floor has a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite shower room.
The house is separate from the gîtes allowing the owners to enjoy some privacy. Designed as a comfortable and quiet destination for couples and adult groups, the gîtes have been designed to cater for modern tastes combined with ease of maintenance.
There are 3 one bedroom gîtes, each one with a comfortable open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, a good sized double bedroom and a wet room style shower room and toilet.
The fourth gîte is a studio style apartment with a combined kitchen, living and sleeping area and a shower room with toilet.
Finally there is a double bedroom with shower room and toilet which is used to cater for guests who prefer to book on a bed and breakfast basis.
All the gîtes are arranged together in an L shaped complex and they all open directly out onto a covered terrace and walkway which provides direct access to the 9m by 5m swimming pool which enjoys open views across the local countryside.
The complex has been designed to include a laundry/linen room and a storage room.
The business has operated successfully for several years and attracts many repeat customers. It is offered for sale as a complete business including all the bed linen, kitchen equipment, TV's and website required to operate the business as a going concern from day one. It is only 45 minutes from Limoges airport which has frequent flights connecting to UK airports.
