Killala Bike Hire - Wild Atlantic Way (Monasteries of the Moy)
We went out on a cycle on a beautiful sunny day in March on some of the new Killala-Ballina Greenway route on the Wild Atlantic Way. This is locally known as the 'Monasteries of the Moy' with Moyne and Rosserk monasteries on the route along the River Moy in Killala Bay. This is one of the shorter routes we recommend for people heading out for a cycle around Killala. Its approx 20km round trip on a safe country road/lane (soon to be an offically commissioned Greenway). The route has the Killala Round Tower, Killala Quay, Moyne Abbey, Rosserk Abbey and Beleek woods and lots lots more to view and visit.
