Kinaskan Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located at the south end of Kinaskan Lake along the Stewart-Cassiar Highway near Mowdade Lake and southeast of Mount Edziza. At the south end of the park, the Iskut River, of which the lake is an expansion, spills over 40-foot Cascade Falls. The park is approximately 800 ha. in size.

British Columbia HWY 57 - Dease Lake to Telegraph Creek

Tucked in the north western corner of BC, following the Stikine river is BC HWY 57, a 112km dirt highway with 60 km of 'steep mountain roads'. This represents a minute and a half of a one one and a half hour drive that is never easier than in this video and most often, much worse.

TMH-Nearly 40 on the 37: the video journals

In August 2012 I set out to ride the Stewart-Cassiar Highway solo. It would be my send-off to my thirties, riding Highway 37. So the title of the book I wrote about the experience was called Nearly 40 on the 37. The northern British Columbia highway was going to be my conduit to Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory. Instead, not knowing my abilities and underestimating the amount I would need to do the daily mileage necessary. I threw in the towel for Whitehorse and decided to make the best of the communities along the Stewart-Cassiar. I wasn't prepared for the rugged environment and the impact the remote location would have on me. I recorded several video journals along the way to record my thoughts and as the journals play you can see on my face the effect the place I'm riding through has on me.
