Hiking Kinder Scout // Peak District UK // England
While in the UK I went out to the Peak District National Park and hiked one of the more popular hills in the area, Kinder Scout. It's an amazing area! The rock formations are incredible! And on this occasion, there was snow on top!

Peak District Walk - Kinder Scout - Jacob's Ladder & The Official Summit
This video features a great Peak District walk starting from Barber Booth. I then walk up Jacobs Ladder, over to Kinder Low, to the official summit area, have lunch at Pym Chair, pass Crowden, Grindsbrook and then head down via Ringing Roger. I fly my Micro Drone 2.0 on the way down to Edale before crossing the fields back to Barber Booth.

Peak District Walk - Kinder Scout - Crowden Clough, Kinder Gates & The Downfall
This weeks wander sees me head up one of the more strenuous routes up on to Kinder Scout, the Crowden Clough Scramble. It's a really excellent way to get yourself up on to the plateau and has some interesting technical bits which make it very fun indeed. I had planned to meet my friend Tim at Crowden Tower so my scramble up Crowden was done at top speed. We then headed for the centre of the plateau through Kinder Gates over towards the Downfall. After that we headed to the northern edge via Sandy Heys and then along to Fairbrook Naze. We then made our way over the plateau once again to the Official Summit, Pym Chair, The Woolpacks, before finally heading back down Crowden to the car at Barber Booth. It was a really great day out and a mini tour of some of the highlights Kinder Scout has to offer.

KINDER SCOUT VIDEO, Peak District National Park
Dramatic Drops & Stunning Scenery , Kinder Scout Is In Your Face! The New Video From Peak District TV Shows Derbyshire In New Light.
A stunning new masterpiece of videography Viagra, Terrybnd is proving a force of nature is right up his street,or should we say mountain? The man and his camera have blown away the competition -- a storm's a brewing in The Peak District ........
Peak District Online are very proud to present their new video introducing the Peak District to the uninitiated. Kinder Scout -- the highest point in this beautiful region of our country is depicted in deliciously appetising delight.
Set to a staggeringly beautiful soundtrack, the spectacular Kinder Scout is shown in all weathers, all terrains are covered, all seasons promised. We're amazed from the offset, as the clouds and the skies tumble past with the piano accompaniment lulling us into a false sense of security until the musi c blasts in, the gritstone wall hits us in the face, the camera soaring over the top. How this scene is captured we'll never know -- just one man and his video camera, one man and the forces of nature. The panorama is flabbergasting , a sight not a lot of us will ever see but Terry takes us there, we are there.
To climb this mountain you need your wits about you, the graves and the crashed aircraft wreckage testament to its treachery, its turbulent weather, its dangerous crags and rocky outcrops shown in breathtaking prominence- hitting us right between the eyes!
The perfectly timed strains of music coincide with insightful knowledge written in short bursts across the screen, tempting and teasing us with little bits of information we would never know, the height, the beauty, the majesty that is Kinder Scout. The views from the top are unimaginable and would never be seen by the elderly, the infirm or our little ones.
Watching this video we are transported there -this way we can all experience it first hand. The views from the top are mesmerising. The sculpture park of gritstone tors litter the area, formed millenniums ago casting an eerie prehistoric feel on the bed of a vast river delta. A conservation area, a wildlife habitat -- outstanding beauty indeed. Terry really knows his stuff and now so do we!
We glimpse the wild mountain hare, the colourful grouse in a mixture of fast paced energy and slow motion beauty. The haunting vocals kick in at the setting of the sun and the shadows cast their eerie glow on the rock formations, the trickling waters, only hinting at the true nature of Kinder Force -- a small trickle captured here in Summer but in Winter a waterfall sight to behold.
Kinder scout is indeed a dramatic and dangerous place but it is also a thing of beauty to be experienced first hand. If it's not possible to visit then this is the next best thing. This video is gorgeous -- check it out for yourself. I'm lacing up my boots as speak.......

Hiking Edale Peak District | Britain Best Walking Destination | England Road Trip Travel Vlog 13
Edale in the Peak District is the start of the Pennine Way and has been voted as Britain best walking destination with thousands of walks available on this 268 mile stretch. This roadtrip travel vlog we stopped at the YHA Edale and did some hiking to Mam Tor, a popular lookout with stunning walks and views of the countryside.
Country pubs with a beer or cider is a must for any traveller in the UK and something the locals love to do. After a long day of trekking you NEED to have some pub food and a drink.

Mountain a Month No 3 Kinder Scout, Peak District
Another Month, Another Mountain! I hiked Kinder Scout with @SarahMillsYoga who this time last year hadn’t done much hiking at all and is now doing some incredible hikes in Peru, including the Inca Trail right now! (Amazing insta stories, check her out).
I’ve heard a few hikers question ‘Solitude or Side Kick’ when out walking…. for me, it’s not a difficult decision. Hikes like this one with Sarah remind me it’s side kick all the way! We did about a 3hour loop along the Kinder Scout ridge in VERY windy conditions which seemed to make us even more giggly. Here’s a 1 min montage but the full video and write up will be on my blog tomorrow bryonybillson.co.uk

My name is Mihai , I'm a Manchester photographer that recently started filming , and this happens to be my first video edited in Premiere Pro CC.
It was a lot of fun filming it - the views were truly amazing , and from time to time I would forget to record . The Peak District National Park is located only a 35 minutes train ride away from Manchester and offers stunning views and amazing places to hike and walk .
For the past few weeks the weather was great , and we finally made time to arrange a day out . We boarded the Sheffield train from Manchester Piccadilly station with Edale as our destination .
Edale is a small village at the start/end of the UK's first and most famous long distance walking path - the Pennine Way.
After crossing through the beautiful village we took a right turn on a small path leading on the bottom of Kinder Scout hiking trail .
We started our adventure up and for the first 200 meters of climbing I felt like dying . The heat made it hard at the beginning , but soon after the cool air started blowing rejuvenating us . The climb got harder but we felt better than never before . Up the first plateau the views were amazing : the light would peak through the clouds illuminating only parts of the landscape .
After a 5 minute rest and enjoying the views break we started the last and most challenging part of the trail . Keeping into consideration we are amateur hikers , we managed very well .
At the top the rocks are forming incredible shapes , some of them almost defying gravity - big boulders resting on small ones , etc.
We took 20 and we had a lunch break and shoot our first 15 minutes long exposure of the Kinder Scout.
Soon after we continued our adventure on the side of the rocky valley stopping from time to time to climb rocks and take pictures like some crazy goats !
It was here were we focused more on filming and photography than ever before . We experimented with angles and ideas whilst making our way to the other side of the valley .
Some of the rocks were very photogenic but on a better inspection they were very unsafe . We agreed its more important to be alive and well than risk it for a shot . That being said , I still risked it a few times haha . She hated me for it .
We were reaching the later part of our journey and it was here were we found incredible rock waterfalls - the stones became white where the watter was dropping in a rainy day , making for an superb view .
Kinder scout offered us a lot of photographic opportunities. Hiking is a great way to keep in shape . and mixed with travel video / photography leads only to good results.
We met a group of young British lads that made their way up hiking Kinder scout through the rocky waterfall caring bags of beers and tents - you can't go more British hiker than that ! It must have been a fight climbing that , unfortunately we didn't shoot any videos of them since they were exhausted and drunk :))
We ended up hiking the plateau with another small lunch break and 15 minutes time-lapse
On our way down the foot path was very dusty and unsafe so we took our time for most of the part . In meanwhile we saw 2 guys running on the other side ( where we have been hiking before) and soon they not only reached us but passed us in full speed ) .
I had 2x hearth attacks just by watching them do that , so we stepped up our descent .
The last few hundred meters were fast paced , and once we got to the bottom we ran for 3 km to get to the train station and catch the train back home just in time .
That was a win.We made our way back home exhausted but so happy with how the day went . We couldn't have asked for more .
This video was a test , I wanted to learn Premiere Pro and test my video editing skills .
It was shot hand-held ( a few obvious shots were on a tripod ), manual focus and warp stabilized at times . Some of the clips were shot at 30 fps but most were 60 fps to help smooth the camera shakes .

Peak District Walk - Kinder Scout Northern Edge & Sabre Jet Wreckage
A wet and windy walk along the Northern Edge of Kinder Scout from the Birchin Clough car park. We headed through the Snake Plantation and then up the Ashop Valley to pay a visit to part of the Sabre Jet Wreckage on our way up. The cloud was down to around 450metres so we enjoyed a typical misty walk along the edge of the Plateau to Fairbrook Naze. We descended via FairBrook and finished off a great day by visiting the Woodbine Cafe in Hope :-)
