Part 2 of Day Eight!

After the brief stop at Ravana Falls, we stopped at the Kinellan Tea Factory in Ella.

My wife's Grandfather worked here as the Superintendent in the 60s and 70s and passed away at his residence in 1973.

We stopped to see if my my wife and daughters could visit where he worked and lived.....

A big thank you to all of the staff wonderful staff at Kinellan Tea Factory for sharing their stories about my daughter's Great Grandfather and allowing us to visit the Superintendent's residence to see where he lived.

In case it has not dawned on you, there is really nothing luxurious about Sunnyside. They try their best not to offer pseudo-hospitality! All rooms contain attached bathrooms (tiled and clean) with hot & cold water. Best of all, enjoy the peace and tranquility at Sunnyside.

Sunnyside Holiday Bungalow is typically Sri Lankan and cooked in clay pots over a wooden fire. They also do western dishes to suit you palette. Without doubt, you'll savour the difference... On the other hand, if you prefer to do your own cooking, make yourself at home in our small pantry made especially for you.
