Kings River Rafting | Discover Tasmania
Raft the King River through the West Coast Wilderness with a spectacular gorge, wild rainforest, huon pine, west coast pioneer relics and a different view of the West Coast Wilderness Railway. You may like to mix your day in with the train on our King River Gorge, Raft and Steam Experience, or enjoy the tranquillity and reflections in the King River Gorge Explorer. King River Rafting offers one day white water rafting experiences out of Queenstown and Hobart. When not in Queenstown we raft the Derwent River out of Hobart. Our Day on the Derwent takes you through the beautiful warm rural country side of the Derwent Valley with possible encounters with sea eagles and platypus. With our trained guides and quality equipment you will have a memorable day.

QLD MUD CRABBING MADNESS
Our crab pots were chock full of nice big tasty bucks and this little creek kept on giving. Finding little mangrove creeks like this often yields big results. Set you pots in the front of little drains or where at low tide crab holes are visible. Best times are after a bit of rain as this stirs the big bucks up as they move with the saltier water. We find the best bait is chicken and mullet and as you can see it is successful. Make sure you follow the rules and only take 10 per person with the minimum size being 15cm here in QLD.
