Sitting above the Kinglake National Park this beautiful modern home cleverly exploits the natural marvels of its surrounds. Grand spaces, vaulted ceilings and vast windows all draw in the valley below. The main bedroom has WIR and ensuite, there are two more bedrooms, bathroom, a rumpus room, study, double garage, and separate four-vehicle shed, studio/home office.
The residence is flame zone rated, hydronically heated, air-conditioned and solar powered. 10 acres of gardens, courtyards, lawns and orchard surround it. An hour and a world from the CBD, this property quickens the pulse, before its contemplative loveliness envelops you. Land: 96 acres approx.

PICNIC IN WINTER?? | MASONS FALLS, KINGLAKE VIC
So, we wanted to do outside barbeque and picnic even though it is already winter here in Melbourne.
We went to Masons Falls in Kinglake West Victoria with our friends. It is just a litrle more than one hour drive from Melbourne CBD. The place was good and will give you that Baguio Philippines feels. Lot of trees and really relaxing. Though it is expected to be very cold during winter.
This is the first time for Toby to go to a picnic/bbq. I was also excited but going there it was raining and foggy. Good thing is the sky cleared up around 2pm just in time for a short walk going to Masons Falls lookout.
We have enjoyed this activity and probably it will be nice to come back during summer.
Few more things.
-No entrance fee to the park
-they offer a lot of Free barbeque facilities
-lots of table and chair and there's two covered area that can accomodate big groups
-there is available toilet
-there is water supply (though I haven't check if it's drinkable)
-the walk to Masons Falls is about 10 mins
-there is other walks you can do
-there is no rubbish bin so ensure to bring your rubbish with you

Handlebarcam... Degani Kinglake Ride 2010
I attached a video camera to the handlebars of my Litespeed to record the Degani Kinglake 120km Bike Ride. The views from the William Walker climb were amazing. Check the Black Saturday bushfire damage still evident in Kinglake National Park. Unfortunatley the camera mount broke at the 90km mark so I didnt get the crazy descent into Whittlesea. Was a great ride except for the crazy drivers round Whittlesea....please cars dont try and kill us next time!!! Thanks to the organisers Superesprint for a great event.... Oh and thanks to Emma my trusty riding pardner!!!
Music on the video is my band Amphibian from the albums In Pursuit of Plankton and Adventures in Whistle Village. You can buy this music from Junkbeats.com or groovescooter.com. Cheers! and happy riding .
The 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires (Australia)
The Black Saturday bushfires, were a series of bushfires that ignited or were burning across the Australian state of Victoria on and around Saturday 7 February 2009 during extreme bushfire-weather conditions, resulting in Australia's highest ever loss of life from a bushfire. 173 people died as a result of the fires and 414 were injured. As many as 400 individual fires were recorded on 7 February. Following the events of 7 February 2009, that date has since been referred to as Black Saturday.
