The 2015 Fantasy Forest Art Competition was an amazing display of artistic talent and creativity, which resulted in transforming a grove of 100-year-old Ash trees (which had been killed by the Emerald Ash Borer) into stunning works of art. The Fantasy Forest at Leila Arboretum, in Battle Creek, MI, is now filled with wizards, castles, dragons, and other mythical creatures. Thousands of visitors from all across the United States have been able to enjoy this FREE Sculpture Garden.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
The historic Harvey House Museum is the former Belen Harvey House of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF), predecessor of today's BNSF Railway.
You're looking at BNSF's Belen Yard, part of their Southern Transcon, the former Santa Fe mainline between Chicago and Los Angeles, and this is where the El Paso Sub from the east becomes the Clovis Sub to the west.
From this camera you'll see mainline freight headed in both directions, as well as the yard switcher.
In regards to the pushers (distributed power units, or DPU's) on westbounds, they are not fueled directly at the fuel pads, rather a fuel truck is driven back to the middle or (more commonly) the end of the train where the DPU's are located.
Actual track orientation here is north (west)-south (east). You'll also see carmen (inspecting trains) going back and forth on ATV's.
There is no Amtrak service here; their Southwest Chief bypasses Belen to the north as it heads to/from Albuquerque.
Even though there is an ATCS layout file available, there is no server coverage, so no data for the layout. No radio streams available.
There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

Museum and Santa Fe O Scale Layout
Here is some old VHS I found of the MSI O scale layout which was my inspiration to the hobby back in the early 1970's. The version of the O scale layout was after its final rebuilding and modernization. The video shows some color shifting but its still worth seeing. Little video of the Museum and Santa Fe railroad is online. Minton Cronkite masterpiece. Enjoy

Top 10 American Road Trips – Ultimate Road Trips
Top 10 American Road Trips – Ultimate Road Trips - Top 10 Rockers
-------------------------------Details--------------------------------
10. Skyline Drive, VA
Distance: 105 miles
Skyline Drive cuts through Shenandoah Valley, giving travelers a peek into what this country was like before it was discovered by Columbus. Enter the Shenandoah State Park and head up past the visitor’s center. A few miles beyond, you’ll start to climb the Blue Ridge Mountains, and that’s where the view really begins.
9. Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway, CO-UT
The Prehistoric Highway will pique your curiosity as you wind through history. Traveling through Utah and western Colorado, this path takes you through canyons and valleys, arid plateaus and hairpin turns.
Take a few days to meander along the loop, and stop to admire the numerous rivers that crisscross the area. Don’t miss the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry. For dinosaur buffs, this is the most prolific area for Jurassic-era dinosaur fossils. Stop here to see thousands of dinosaur bones and re-live Jurassic Park.
8. The Southwest’s Four Corners
Distance: 525 miles
Starting in Flagstaff, AZ, this trip takes you through all four states — Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. You’ll pass through the Painted Forest, where red and white mix in layers like the sky. Pass through numerous parks and into Telluride, CO, a tiny little town of eccentrics and painters at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Stand on Main Street and look up — you’ll see what you’re looking for when you get there.
7. Alaska’s Seward Highway, AK
Distance: 127 miles
This route is the definition of remote. If you’re looking to get away from it all, and spend some time with no people, cars or traffic, this is the road you need to take.
6. The Loneliest Road, CA – MD
Distance: 3,200 miles
If you’re looking for days on end of touring the country, the Loneliest Road is the trip for you. This path takes you from San Francisco, CA, all the way out to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C.
5. Pacific Coast Highway, WA – CA
Distance: 1,650 miles
Starting up in Washington, this drive takes you down the coast — literally. The Olympic State Park is your starting point, and you can watch the waves break almost the entire way down to the border of Mexico. The rocky cliffs and green forests of Washington and Oregon give way to sandy beaches and forsaken deserts farther south. You’ll also drive through some of the most diverse cities in the US — Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and San Diego, just to name a few.
4. Route 66
Distance: 2,400 miles
This road is more than a road — for Americans, its classic cars, James Dean and the sweet smell of nostalgia. The miles of this trip are marked with classic diners, old school shops and towns that time seems to have forgotten. Check out Meramec Caverns in Missouri, and take a dip in the Colorado River. Let yourself be swept back to a simpler time on this American classic of a road.
3. The Oregon Trail
Distance: 3,300 miles
Tracking from Oregon to Massachusetts, the Oregon Trail is a look back in time. Start off on the rugged coast of Oregon, and head east. You’ll have the option to stop at numerous sites, including Mount Rushmore, the Great Lakes and even Niagara Falls. Don’t stop there, though — continue on and end your journey of a lifetime with Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod and some of the best lobster in the USA.
2. Overseas Highway, FL
Distance: 113 miles
For some of the best seafood around, and some of the best views of your life, you can’t miss a trek through the Florida Keys. Starting south of Miami, this one way trip takes you far out into the ocean, skipping across islands like a stone skips on water. Heading into Key Largo gives you a taste of the island life, when suddenly, the land disappears and you drive for miles over nothing but water.
1. Maui’s Hana Coast, HI
Distance: 52 miles
At only 52 miles long, you wouldn’t think the Hana Coast in Hawaii would be much of a road trip. However, the winding road requires slow driving and frequent stops. The hairpin turns can put drivers and passengers on edge, so stopping often is recommended — not only for the fruit, but also to allow the car sickness to wear off.

Mustangs Across America 2009 - Kingman, Arizona
For those of you who did not get Posting 17 or the attached video, here it is. The file size did not permit sending or receiving by email. Thanks to YouTube, I can post it for all to enjoy.
Kingman, Arizona - at about 3,400 feet above sea level, it is a small town spread far and wide and growing. Once a part of Nevada, Mohave County began attracting settlers in 1848 when the United States obtained the southwest by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. There was an influx of miners after the discovery of gold and many flooded the area in search of that mineral. Lt. Edward Fitzgerald Beal, a Naval officer with the U.S. Army Topographical Corps, was ordered to build a government-funded wagon road across the 35th Parallel, and look into the feasability of using camels as pack animals in the southwest desert. He traveled through the Kingman area in 1857 surveying the road and then again in 1859 to build the road which later became part of Route 66 and Highway (Interstate) 40. When he first arrived, he found many existing trails that criss-crossed the Kingman area used by Indians to traverse the vast distances. Kingman itself did not establish until 1882 when Lewis Kingman located the route of the Atlantic and Pacific Railroad (later the Sante Fe and now the Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad) through town between Needles and Albuquerque. The Colorado River and the railroad were and remain the backbones of the local economy. Route 66 in Arizona is one of the longest sections of The Mother Road, the most active and most-used portion of the famous highway, and Kingman has the claim to fame of having the longest and most active section in any city along the route. City life is Route 66 - Kingman is Route 66 - Arizona is Route 66. Route 66 is America - The Mother Road - 8 states and 2,278 miles from Lake Michigan to the Pacific Ocean. Running adjacent to Route 66 is the railroad tracks - trains traveling east and west it seems every 15 minutes or so with hundred of cars being pulled and pushed by sometimes 4 engines. The railroad sets the rhythm of Kingman. It is commerce and industry in motion. America on the move. The only empty cars heading east are those that once held automobiles - a sign of the times!
Niles, MI - Amtrak 353 Lake Cities - crew change (January 25, 1986)
It's just 3 days before the Challenger accident when a little bit of lake effect snow starts to fall as Amtrak #353 heads out of the Niles, Michigan depot with F40PH 348. Classic P5A sound. Filmed with a Sony BetaMax camera.

What Happened When We Visited a Haunted House in New York
When Miss Fanny Van Wyck, born in 1903, passed away in 1988, she could never have imagined her house would be auctioned off by the state against her dying wish. Now her ghost is believed to remain in Miss Fanny's Victorian Party House in Poughkeepsie, New York. The home is known as one of the most haunted in New York State. InsideEdition.com visited the historic location with a psychic medium to explore the house and find out if it really is haunted. The results were truly terrifying.
