Perth Long Weekend Part 2 - Kings Park War Memorial on Remembrance Day.
Here is part 2 of our recent long weekend to Perth folks. We were over there for remembrance day. 100 years since the guns fell silent at the end of WW1. It was a special occasion. Kings park over in Western Australia is something special.

KINGS PARK | PERTH | WESTERN AUSTRALIA ????????
Kings Park is one of Western Australia’s most famous must-see places to visit which overlooks the City of Perth.
Kings Park is a 4.06-square-kilometre (1,003-acre) park located on the western edge of the central business district in Perth, Western Australia. The park is a mixture of grassed parkland, botanical gardens and natural bushland on Mount Eliza with two-thirds of the grounds conserved as native bushland. With panoramic views of the Swan River and Darling Range, it is home to over 324 native plant varieties, 215 known indigenous fungi species and 80 bird species. It overlooks the city as well as Perth Water and Melville Water on the Swan River.
It is the most popular visitor destination in Western Australia, being visited by over five million people each year.
Besides tourist facilities Kings Park contains the State War Memorial, the Royal Kings Park Tennis club and a reservoir. The streets are tree lined with individual plaques dedicated by family members to Western Australian service men and women who died in World War I and World War II.
Kings Park is only a short distance from the Perth CBD and getting there is very easy. Transport options include cars, public buses, bus tours, cycling & walking.
I personally recommend taking the Transperth bus route 935, which travels from St Georges Terrace right into the heart of Kings Park or take a lovely walk from the city. Simply stroll up St Georges Terrace in a westerly direction (St Georges Terrace becomes Malcolm Street) and turn left at the roundabout into Kings Park. You will find yourself right at the spot for the best views overlooking the city.
I really hope you enjoyed this video of Kings Park and if you did please don't forget to Like, Subscribe, Comment and all that great stuff.
Thanks for watching

Nice views of Perth City from beautiful Kings Park, as well as footage of the State War Memorial Cenotaph and the Jarrah Pavilion.
Flies, flies, flies - you can see the flies zipping past the front of the drone quite often, but doesn't detract from the beauty of the park - just rather annoying!

Anzac Day, Kings Park 2013
Anzac Day is a National celebration in Australia. The dawn service in Perth at the State War Memorial was attended by 50,000 people. This then was the biggest turn-out in Australia. In reverent silence, the wreath laying and remembrance of the fallen, took place as the Sun rose over Perth.
