Singapore rooftop bar
An actual rooftop bar in Singapore.
Except this rooftop is actually the upper canopy of a giant man made tree.
It was about as modern and hip as I can possibly get!

3 Ways to Watch Singapore's Spectra Light Show
WE SEE HERE the SPECTRA LIGHT AND WATER SHOW at the MARINA BAY SANDS HOTEL in SINGAPORE. After watching the show three times from three different locations I've found the best place to watch the light show and the unique aspects from each location.

WHERE TO WATCH THE SPECTRA LIGHT & WATER SHOW.
Singapore can be a bit costly and the nice thing about the Spectra Light Show is that it is entirely free of charge (at least if you watch from across the bay or in front of the Marina Sands Hotel). If you watch from the hotel's observation deck it will cost you $23 SGD for adults and $17 for children under the age of 12, because that is the cost of the elevator to get up to the observation deck.
If you want a romantic evening, where you can watch the sunset and city lights come on, then I highly recommend going up to the observation deck. If you are all about reverberating music then watch the show from in front of the Marina Sands right next to the bay. And if you want a more chill relaxed experience with an impressive light show that incorporates the 57 story Marina Sands Hotel grab a spot next to the Merlion across the bay.
SPECTRA SHOW TIMES.
On Sunday's through Thursdays the light show kicks off twice a night: at 8:00 pm and again at 9:00pm. On the weekends there is a third showing for you night owls at 10:00pm.
I haven't watched the shows back to back so I don't know if they do the same show each hour or not. I do know that the show that I saw from atop the observation deck was different then the shows I saw the second time I went to Singapore (about 9 months apart).
The Spectra Light and Water Show is not the most amazing display of lights, lazers, and fire I've ever seen (that trophy still belongs to the Trans Siberian Orchestra concerts that I've been to!). Nor is it the most impressive water show I've seen (that award still goes to the Bellagio water show Las Vegas in my book). However, Singapore's production of music, lights, lazers, and the ambiance of the location does make for a memorable experience. I've seen the show three times that definitely counts for keeping my interest.
A LITTLE SINGAPORE TRAVEL TIP.
I thought the Supertree GARDEN RHAPSODY Light Show across the street in the Gardens by the Bay was more impressive than the Spectra Light Show. I recommend having two nights in Singapore and catching both shows. That's far better than trying to run from one to the other because they overlap on show times.
WE SEE HERE TRIVIA!
-----------------------------------
This is the first We See Here video where I recorded the verbal audio after filming on sight. The clip from atop the Marina Bay Sands was filmed without any intention of including it in a We See Here video. I didn't think I would get back to Singapore and when I did and after watching the Spectra Light show from across the bay, I thought, by golly, perhaps I could compile the three locations together into one video about where to watch the light show. And so it was created.
