Hill Walks in Pictures...John Muir Way... part 7... Falkirk to Bo'ness
This section of the John Muir Way continues the combination of easy walking but always full of variety and interest that is making this route such a treat.
This section offers something for everyone...
We have historic houses, parkland, woodland, canal towpaths, aqueducts, viaducts, Linlithgow with it's splendid loch, palace and church, extensive countryside views, and finally a return to the seaside at Bo'ness on the Firth of Forth.
Not that this completes this Scottish coast to coast, in fact we're only about half way !

37906 last running day Bo'ness 27/03/11
37906 performed 4 return trips from Bo'ness to Manuel on 27th March 2011 as a farewell running day before the loco heads back south.
We start by viewing the loco running round at Bo'ness, then a short distance from the station followed by just west of Kinneil Halt. The following departure is recorded at one of the many LCs (Pum House Crossing) before Kinneil followed by the claggy and thrashy passage of Snab Bridge. We view the return working pausing briefly at Birkhill before the best for last with an almost standing start halfway up the hill from Kinneil *THRASH & CLAG ALERT* and then the last (ever?) departure from Kinneil back to Bo'ness with the on train punters kindly reminding us what the fare was for this special day

Top Outlander locations you can actually visit
There a lot to love about the popular TV series Outlander. For many its the intense love story between the time travelling medic Clair Randall and the feisty scottish highlander Jamie Frazer. Others may be drawn by the romance associated with 18th Highlander life. Whatever floats your boat, theres one thing for sure - The show is filmed in some pretty stunning locations around Scotland. From imposing stately homes to picturesque Scottish towns, were taking a look at some of the most amazing real life locations from Outlander.

Boness Berm Blast -- MTB
Second Sunday in February and Me, Dunzie, Nathan and Alan went out and had a blast around the new pump track in Boness.
As well as this there is also a new trail in the works that we had a good few runs on despite it being very wet and slidy.
Pump track berms and new trail berms were running sweet but the camera died pretty early on.
