Kinugawa-Kawaji Hot Spring's location in northern Tochigi prefecture in the northern part of Japan's Kanto region means that it offers great access, with Tokyo just 2 hours away by train. A direct service is also operated from Tokyo on the SPACIA Special Express(TOBU Railway). Traveling by car, Kinugawa-Kawaji can be reached from Tokyo in around 2 hours on the expressway, and in just under 3 hours from Sendai City in the Tohoku region. Furthermore with the World Cultural Heritage-listed temples and shrines of Nikko nearby, it is also ideally situated for sightseeing in Nikko.
Feel yourself being gently rocked by the motion of the boat being guided through the water with the boatman's skilful control of the oar, as you enjoy a close-up encounter with the natural wonder of the Kinugawa River, with its seasonally changing faces and sea of richly varied rock forms. The ride delivers its share of thrills too, with the boat buffeted by sheets of spray as it enters the rapids. Totally immerse yourself in the 360-degree dynamic scenery of the Kinugawa River on this approximately 40 minute boat trip.

Nikko Sightseeing Kinugawa River Cruise 鬼怒川ライン下り (ハナミズキカバー)
The Kinugawa Line Kudari River Cruise is a gentle ride down Kinugawa River in flat wooden boat. This water is the same water that is used in onsens around the area, so its really good for your skin if you fall in.
The cruises is about 40 minutes and travels through parts of the river that is mostly untouched by humans. The tour guides point at rocks that look like animals, like bears, owls, goats, and even cats.
If the tour is too rough when it rains, you can wimp out and cancel. But these guys still do it everyday.

Footage of a western part of Kinugawa River, near Misaka-machi, Joso, Ibaraki Prefecture, taken in the late afternoon of Sept. 10. Nearly 100 meters of the river's levee was destroyed by heavy precipitation brought by Typhoon Etau.

【鬼怒川ライン下り】鬼怒川を下ってみた
平成29年10月8日に体験した鬼怒川ライン下りの記録じゃ。
というても、撮影した画像を繋げ、BGMをつけただけのちっぽけな動画じゃけどの。
川の水量は少なく、流れは緩やかじゃったけぇ、迫力のある映像にはなっとらんよ。
