TOKYO MXテレビの「カウントダウンTOKYO」では、若きアスリートたちに密着、番組で紹­介しています。　


霧島高原乗馬クラブに所属する岩切景優さん。馬術の練習は馬の世話からはじまる。人一倍優しい岩切さんが何より大切にしているのは馬とのコミュニケーション。「優しすぎるかな」とインストラクターの村岡一孝さんは少し心配顔だ。身体の小さな岩切さん、母も最初は落馬やケガが心配だった。そんな彼の夢は、いつか村岡先生みたいにかっこよく馬に乗ること。そして、2人一緒にオリンピックに出られたら。日差しに輝く霧島高原の馬場で、馬と呼吸を合わせて障害を乗り越えていく。2020年の夢のために。

”Beautiful Japan: This is a project to support young athletes who have accepted the challenge of chasing their dreams for 2020.


Keiyu Iwakiri is a member of the Kirishima Plateau Riding Club. Dressage practice begins by first taking care of the horse. The every friendly Iwakiri understands that the single most important thing he has to do is communicate with his horse. His instructor, Kazuyuki Muraoka, thinks Iwakiri might be too nice to his horse. At first, Iwakiri's mom was worried about her son falling from his horse and getting injured because of his small size. Iwakiri's dream is to one day be able to ride like his instructor Muraoka and eventually enter the Olympic Games together. He is synchronizing his breath with his horse and learning from his mistakes as the sun glistens on the practice ground of the Kirishima Plateau. All to fulfill his dreams of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Keiyu Iwakiri is a member of the Kirishima Plateau Riding Club. He loves his instructor and of course his horse. He hasn't lost his youthful innocence, but he watches video of his practice with the severity of a seasoned master. Surrounded by the lush natural splendor of the Kirishima Plateau, he once again matches his breathing to his horse as he works to perfect his skills in anticipation of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

霧島高原乗馬クラブに綾瀬はるかさんがやってきた。まずは馬にあいさつして早速馬に乗ってみる綾瀬さん、インストラクターの引き綱でなんとか前進。綾瀬さんの前で馬術を披露した岩切選手は、少し恥ずかしそうにオリンピックへの夢を話してくれた。

Haruka Ayase visited the Kirishima Plateau Riding Club. She introduces herself to the horse and then wastes no time going for a ride. With the help of a tug on the reins from the instructor, she is able to get the horse moving forward. Keiyu Iwakiri gave Ms. Ayase a demonstration of his dressage skills. Afterward, though he was a little shy, he told her of his dream to enter the Olympic Games.

霧島高原乗馬クラブに所属する岩切景優さん。乗馬をはじめたきっかけは、国体で優勝したときに新聞に掲載された先生の写真。僕もこんなふうに馬と跳びたい、と思った。大切なのは馬とのコミュニケーション。いまは小さな身体だけれど、2020年には先生と2人一緒にオリンピックに出たい。馬とひとつになり、呼吸をあわせ、障害を乗り越えていく。日差しにキラキラ輝く霧島高原の馬場で、今日も馬と一緒に。

Keiyu Iwakiri is a member of the Kirishima Plateau Riding Club. He decided to start riding after he saw a picture in the newspaper of his instructor winning the National Championships. I wanted to be able to jump with a horse like him. The single most important aspect of riding is communicating with the horse. I'm still small now, but by 2020 I want to enter the Olympic Games with my instructor. To become one with the horse and be able to overcome any setbacks, he must synchronize his breathing with his horse. Today, like every day, he and his horse are on the shining plateau of Kirishima.
