Keiyu Iwakiri is a member of the Kirishima Plateau Riding Club. He decided to start riding after he saw a picture in the newspaper of his instructor winning the National Championships. I wanted to be able to jump with a horse like him. The single most important aspect of riding is communicating with the horse. I'm still small now, but by 2020 I want to enter the Olympic Games with my instructor. To become one with the horse and be able to overcome any setbacks, he must synchronize his breathing with his horse. Today, like every day, he and his horse are on the shining plateau of Kirishima. Haruka Ayase visited the Kirishima Plateau Riding Club. She enthusiastically tours the stables and greets the horses. Wearing a camera mounted onto her helmet, she straddles a horse. The camera captures the action as she sees it from on top of the horse. She had a little trouble at first, but the instructor tugged on the reins so she could get the horse walking at a steady pace. Keiyu Iwakiri, though still quite small, shows off his skills at dressage by becoming one with his horse. He then shyly tells her of his dream to make it to the Olympic Games. Ms. Ayase reflected on the day saying, In dressage, the horse is also one of the athletes. Only after the horse and rider become one, can their performance be truly beautiful. The every friendly Iwakiri understands that the single most important thing he has to do is communicate with his horse. His instructor, Kazuyuki Muraoka, thinks Iwakiri might be too nice to his horse. At first, Iwakiri's mom was worried about her son falling from his horse and getting injured because of his small size. Iwakiri's dream is to one day be able to ride like his instructor Muraoka and eventually enter the Olympic Games together. He is synchronizing his breath with his horse and learning from his mistakes as the sun glistens on the practice ground of the Kirishima Plateau.
