Theatre drama: Survivors of the Titanic, Paignton & Brixham performances, Sept 2015
Historical theatre drama production about the Titanic, and her links to south Devon.
Survivors of the Titanic will be performed in Paignton and Brixham, in September 2015, with tickets now on sale. With a beautifully costumed production by a group experienced in performing historical drama, and a huge age range of performers, this show will bring a new adaptation to the stage, and hopefully create wider interest in this little know and under-remembered part of Devons sea heritage.

Following a ten-year history of researching, writing and performing historical and period dramas, the South Devon Players theatre & film company from Brixham, in Torbay, south Devon, the Players are now bringing to life one of the most famous sea disasters of all time, with a new stage production, Survivors of the Titanic. This drama follows the stories of various crew members and passengers on board the liner, and how some of the surviving crew, including those with links to Devon and Cornwall, were returned to Plymouth on board the SS Lapland, arriving at Millbay Docks, before travelling on by train to Southampton. This is but one of the fascinating links between Plymouth, and the Titanic, and we have been lucky enough to receive a great deal of historical research and support from local historian Nigel Voisey who is championing this aspect of Devons history.
The South Devon Players Theatre Company are members of both the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) and of the Brixham Chamber of Commerce.

都城嘉慕威曼都城騎士（MCW Metrorider）是一款由都城嘉慕威曼（Metro-Cammell Weymann，縮寫為MCW）於1986年研製的前置引擎小型單層巴士，主要針對英國本土市場使用，以合理售價，簡易維修的優點而廣受當地業界歡迎。
都城嘉慕威曼曾經在1988年7月至11月把4部長陣版樣板車送到香港（除中巴的CM2外，其餘3部在新車投入服務時已裝有Nippon Denso空調系統，CM2則後來加裝三菱空調系統），但中巴的CM1和CM2只試用了7年便退役，1996年被拆卸；而九巴的AMR1和AMR2（原編號MR1及MR2）更只試用了5年，AMR1被必達巴士購入，輾轉售往英國並重新登記車牌F737KGJ，AMR2則被首先運到廣西服務，隨後轉到廣州三汽公司使用，車牌為粵A33270。值得一提的是，AMR2在加入九巴前曾於新加坡作樣板車之用。

Blackpool Transport Services (BTS) is a bus and tram operator running within the boroughs of Blackpool and Fylde and into the surrounding area, including Fleetwood, Lytham St Annes, Poulton le Fylde and Kirkham, Preston. BTS is a limited company wholly owned by Blackpool Borough Council, which makes it one of the few remaining municipal bus companies in the UK today.
Between 2001 and 2010 each line (service) had its own individual route colour which was painted with a contrasting colour of yellow, and there were also black generic painted buses which were used on any line if a branded vehicle couldn't be used for any reason. Each bus stop also featured the line colour and timetables were also colour coded.
Route branding was discontinued on Monday 26th July 2010 when Blackpool Transport introduced major changes to its bus network. Buses are gradually receiving a new livery of black and yellow. The Line 6 service was axed on Sunday 25th July 2010 after 84 years in service, Optare Deltas 106 and 107 performed the last duties.
Since 2002 local bus services have not used the 1960s bus station located on Talbot Road. The town centre Blackpool Transport offices were relocated to Market Street. With the new service changes, many services now serve different town centre stops. Service Promenade 1 stops at North Pier and Blackpool Tower in both directions. Services 2 and 2C terminate at Corporation Street Stop C1, with services 11 and 15 also serving this stop. Services 5, 7, 9 and 14 call at both Market Street and Corporation Street. Service 10 still terminates at Market Street. Services 3, 4 now operate via Topping Street (northbound) and Clifton Street (southbound), Service 16 also operates via Topping Street and now terminates at Blackpool North Station, Service 17 terminates at Market Street. City Sightseeing service 20 serves Topping Street and the Tower.
A new service (18) was introduced in September 2010 and operates between St Annes and Lytham with Lancashire County Council providing funding.
Services 5, 9 and 14 operate a daytime frequency (Mon -Sat) of every 10 minutes, services 2/2C, 7 and 11 operate every 15 minutes, services 1, 3 and 4 operate every 20 minutes, services 15, 16, 17, 18 and 20 operate every 30 minutes and service 10 operates every 60 minutes.
The Optare MetroRider was a midibus built by Optare between 1989 and 2000. Optare based the original design on the MCW Metrorider after Optare bought the rights following a decision by MCW to end bus production. This model also replaced the less successful StarRider.
The successor of the MetroRider is the low-floor Optare Solo.
