Friday, Take Harry to Kirkleatham and Redcar - Daily Life
All about our daily life as a retired couple in the North East of England. This is an extra video, because it was getting too long to add a further two days of video to it. However, during the upload, some corrupted media was found, so a couple of clips have been omitted while fault finding.
On Friday, to allow Melissa and Geoff to do some exterior painting of the kids' bedroom, we took baby Harry to Kirkleatham Museum and Owl Centre, then down to Redcar High Street and Sea Front, ordering our foreign currency for the cruise while we were there.

Kirkleatham Time Lapse 2017
In 2005 an Iron Age Style round house was built in the grounds of Kirkleatham Hall Museum, Redcar, three days later the house was destroyed by fire.
This was an exercise to excavate and record the remains in the full knowledge of the construction techniques used, with a view to carrying out a comparative analysis on the destruction with excavated round houses from the Iron Age, that suffered similar fates.
The excavation was carried out by Dr Steve Sherlock and a group of experienced local archaeologists as a community training excavation with the support of the Kirkleatham Hall Museum, Redcar.

An awesome collection of life-size robots, cyborgs and androids from TV and movie productions, including: a full size Iron Man statue, a Mars Attacks alien, R2-D2 and C3PO models from Stars Wars, Sonny from i Robot, Kryten from Red Dwarf, Locutus of Borg from Star Trek The Next Generation, Seven of Nine, and even a Terminator T-800 head sculpt - EPIC!
If your soul was lifted by this short homage to all that is robotic, then please leave a like and a comment. It really helps my channel, thanks. ^_^

66515 works a potash train past Lumpsey ironstone mine (Brotton) - 22nd March 2012. Apologies for the noisy tripod constantly clicking every time it's moved. Must get that sorted. Shame about the light, focusing and noisy zoom too (please sort that Fuji - would make a huge difference). Think a specialised video camera might be in order...

Redcar rape: Police tape off scene of horrific crime - Daily Mail
A mother was dragged into the back of a car with her toddler and raped as police hunt a man with 'love' tattooed across his knuckles. Detectives have now launched an investigation after the woman was forced into the rear of a vehicle in Redcar, North Yorkshire. The woman was on the seafront near to the boating lake in the town between 11.30am and 12.30pm on Friday, March 3, when a dark-coloured saloon vehicle drove towards them. Two men got out of the vehicle and the woman and child were forced into the back of the car, before it then made its way down Turner Street and to Yearby, on Longbeck Lane off the A174, where the woman was raped. Between 5.30pm and 6.30pm, the woman and child were forced out of the vehicle on Kirkleatham Lane, between the turn off for Kirkleatham Museum and the bus stop towards Redcar.
