The Kiski Junction Railroad
The Kiski Junction RailRoad is a shortline passenger excursion that also pulls freight for interchange with Norfolk Southern. The unit pulling our train is a Alco S1. It also is using a steam whistle in the video if you listen closely. The Kiski also runs across the Kiski River. The line was formely the Pennsylvania Railroad's mainline from Pittsburgh to Buffalo. In the Conrail days, Conrail sold off 5.2 miles of trackage, to which the Kiski bought. The Branch line to Bagdad, PA was the former Pennsylvania Main Line Canal between Johnstown and Pittsburgh.
