Founded by a British natural scientist in the early 20th century, the cultural Museum contains tribal materials for the inhabitants of the town and Transnzoia district.

RBK Presidential aspirant Prof. James Ole Kiyiapi has challenged Kenyans to be focused when electing the next leaders of this Nation.
Kiyiapi said that time has come for Kenyans to get tired with leaders who have taken them round and round over the last 49 years.
