Kite Kite Falls and Omeru Waterfall | New Zealand
It was an amazing day in New Zealand visiting the Kite Kite falls and the Omeru Falls. Finishing with a few skydives at Skydive Auckland.
Kitekite Falls, also known as Kitakita Falls, is located in the western part of Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, near the famous Piha Beach. This spectacular 40-meters multi-steps waterfall is reached after a more or less easy 45 minutes’ walk.
Omeru falls are a very good place to visit. A series of three waterfalls - Omeru Falls, Waitangi Falls and Waitangi Stream Cascade, is located in Omeru Pā Scenic Reserve on the east side of the Kaipara Coast Highway between Kaukapakapa and the Makarau River. A great BBQ area and multiple swimming spots make these waterfalls and Scenic Reserve a very popular place among the locals.
If you don’t know what to do in New Zealand and you are finding things to do in New Zealand, these two waterfalls to visit and you will have an amazing time. There are many things to do in New Zealand! You will not be short of things to robin New Zealand.

Kitekite fall and Piha beach NEW ZEALAND | TRAVEL VLOG #6
Piha beach is a black-iron sand beach in New Zealand and it is only one hour drive from Auckland! We spent our time mostly on Kitekite waterfall since we need to walk up a little bit (25 minutes) to finally see the waterfall. Anyhow, it was a really sweet escape from schools! Lol

Kitekite Falls, also known as Kitakita Falls, is located in the western part of Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, near the famous Piha Beach. This spectacular 40-meters multi-steps waterfall is reached after a more or less easy 45 minutes’ walk.
Kitekite Falls is roughly a 1-hour’s drive away from Auckland City. The road surface is always sealed.
From Auckland follow the road which leads to Piha. When you are in Piha, turn right into Glenesk Rd and follow it for the next 1km. There is a parking area at the end of Glenesk Rd, which has toilets and a couple of tables.
A 45-minutes' Kitekite Falls Track starts from the carpark and leads to the waterfall’s base. The track is a more or less easy one, which offers excellent views of the falls and has some benches along the way to relax after a few uphill sections. The last part of the track has some stairs, which can be slippery, so please take care while you're going downstairs. There is a cool swimming spot at the waterfall's base, so don't forget a towel.
From here you can return via the same track (a 45 minutes walk), or cross the stream and follow the Glen Esk Stream down to the junction with Kitekite Falls Track (a 45 minutes walk), or continue on to the tramping track which leads to the top of the waterfall. If you choose the last option, please make sure you’ve got the right tramping shoes. This track climbs to the waterfall’s top and takes roughly 30-45 minutes one-way. On the top of the waterfall, you’ll find a couple of good swimming spots and an incredible view of the valley.
Make sure you use the cleaning station when you start/finish the walk.

ATTENTION: KAURI DIE BACK DISEASE
Phytophthora agathidicida, the pathogen that causes kauri dieback disease, was only discovered in 2009, and formally named in 2015 (previously it was known as Phytophthora taxon Agathis). The pathogen can sense a kauri tree’s roots, and swim towards them using a tail-like flagella.
There is no cure for kauri dieback disease, and the disease kills most if not all the kauri it infects. It can be spread by just a pinhead of soil, and you can't tell by looking whether a tree is infected or not. Kauri dieback disease is threatening kauri with functional extinction. But kauri will be saved – by people like you.

VLOG#3: MyItchyfeetTravels to KiteKite Falls Track and Piha Beach, New Zealand ???????? | Outdoor Travel
A Day Hike in KiteKite Falls and a glimpse of Piha Beach.
During our day off, we love going for a hike and explore new places in New Zealand.
But after the holidays, we needed to get back on track of exercising and burning all the holiday gains.
KiteKite Falls is located in the western part of Waitakere Ranges Regional Park.
It is a 1 hour drive away from Auckland City. The hike is 45 minutes to 1 hour easy level track that will take you to a Beautiful Fall. The views of the track are Beautiful and Relaxing. You will appreciate the breathtaking Nature surrounding it.
KiteKite Falls has a cool swimming spot you can enjoy, so don't forget your towel! :)
If you want to see the top of the falls, there is a track after the falls that you can follow going uphill.
The view on top is Stunning! There is also a swimming spot and an area to just chill and enjoy the view.
After doing the hike in KiteKite Falls, we decided to stop by in Piha Beach before going home.
Piha is black sand beach and it is New Zealand's most famous surf beach. This black iron-sand beach has a reputation for awesome surf which rolls in over the Tasman Sea. It is a stunning and scenic beach where you can just have picnic with family or friends and just go for a swim. Just be careful with the waves.
If your looking for something to do on your day off like an outdoor activity or a getaway day trip far away from the city, I recommend this places to go and explore. Especially in the Summer time is the best season to go.
Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed the video.

Trek to Kitekite Falls, Piha, NZ
New Zealand:Kitekite falls and Piha Beach
Kitekite Falls (also called Kitakita Falls) is a scenic 3-tiered waterfall near Auckland, New Zealand. The falls drop a total of 40 metres (130 ft). From the lookout on Kitekite track the falls appear even higher because there is white water running over rocks into a small pool from the upper swimming hole, then falling down into a large pool, then falling to a small pool before beginning an almost vertical descent in the final 3-tiers, making the total height closer to 80 metres (260 ft). They are located on the Glen Esk stream near Piha Beach.
Piha is a northern New Zealand coastal settlement with a population of about 600. It is one of the most popular beaches in the area and a major day-trip destination for Aucklanders.

Just 30 minutes walk from Piha beach.
Piha Beach and Kite Kite Falls | Auckland, New Zealand
It was my 3rd time in Auckland, New Zealand, and the 1st time I ever went on a tour alone. I was kinda scared at first, but it turns out, I made the right choice, as this place was amazing!
The tour fee was approximately 30-40 NZD as I remembered, and I booked it via #getyourguide
From the city, it was about and hour drive going to Piha. We were dropped by our driver at Kite Kite Falls first. From the entrance, we are asked to brush our footwear and had it sprayed before entering as this is their preventive measure to avoid harmful bacteria that the kills the local tree, Kauri.
We then walked, trek, or climbed, whatever you want to call it for about 20-25 mins (or maybe I was just to slow haha) to reach the top of the waterfalls, which is again, amazing by the way. Going down, was much easier, and the view of the falls was majestic. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold for me to take a dip. The water was crystal clear, and the sound of the water coming down the falls, combined with the sound of the birds was relaxing. It was indeed, worth the effort climbing up.
After I finished taking photos at the falls, together with my new found friends for the day, who I met at the van, we walked our way going to Piha beach. Piha was like a small town, and I think they only have one convenient shop, and a restaurant where we had our lunch. It was a peaceful, and relaxing place to live in I assume.
As we are walking towards the beach, you can already hear the strong waves crashing to the shore. Ahhh, one of my favorite sounds. We walked through the shoreline, and I saw a couple of jellyfish, so I didn't risk swimming on this side of the beach.
However, on the other side, there were more people. Laying around, getting tanned, and a bunch of surfers as well. I also came across a very nice rock formation that somehow made a tunnel, from the beach to the sea. It was a beautiful sight, but the waves are too strong for me, and the water was cold. So, I just settled watching a young match jumping off the rock, while the wave was high.
I learned from this trip, that somehow, even being alone, you can enjoy and have a very nice experience. All you have to do is pack your courage, confidence, and friendliness. Also don't forget to always be safe :)
I hope you have enjoyed watching this video as much as I enjoyed taking it ????
Thank you for watching, and see you on the next one!
Tips before going on this trip:
☑ Better to book your tour ahead of time
☑ Wear appropriate foot wear and clothes (in my case it was cold and I was wearing shorts)
☑ Bring food and water
☑ Bring sunscreen
☑ Bring a mat or blanket for you to lay down
☑ Enjoy!
