Kiyosu Castle was built by the daimyo Shiba Yoshishige, who governed this region at the beginning of the 15th century. It was subsequently home of Oda Nobunaga. Nobunaga died without fulfilling his lifes ambition of extending his influence and ruling the whole of Japan in the 16th century. When Tokugawa Ieyasu came to rule the entire country, the donjon was razed to build Nagoya Castle and no remains from those times now exist. The castle ruin has now become a park, Kiyosu Koen, and the existing donjon is a four-storied erroconcrete building which was built in 1989.

橋から見た清洲城がなんとも言えない美しさで、その一瞬でまるで室町時代にタイムスリップしたかのような錯覚になりました。
ふと横を見ると新幹線が通り過ぎていたり、清洲城の横には工場もあって、お城と現代のコントラストはここ名古屋でしか見れない景色じゃないでしょうか。
城下町や武将の暮らし、刀と、日本人の葵でも見てて楽しかったです！
Seeing Kiyosu Castle from the bridge was indescribably beautiful, and in the instant, I felt as if I slipped back in time to the Muromachi period.
If you happen to look next to it, you can see the Shinkansen passing by, and there is a factory next to Kiyosu Castle.
The contrast between the castle and the modern age is something you can only see here in Nagoya.
It was fun to see the castle town, the life of warlords and swords!

Cherry Blossoms and Castle in Kiyosu City, Aichi
Spring is the most beautiful season in Japan, I guess. One of the
reason is cherry blossoms. Here is a perfect combination of
cherry blossoms and Japanese castle. The location is Kiyosu City in Aichi prefecture. It's pretty close to Nagoya Station. If you have a chance to visit Japan in spring time, you cannot miss to see cherry blossoms.

Kiyosu Castle is a Japanese castle located in Kiyosu, eastern Aichi Prefecture, Japan.It is noted for its association with the rise to power of the Sengoku period warlord, Oda Nobunaga.The kanji in the name of the castle was written as 清須城.The current partial reconstruction dates to 1989 and was built as a centennial celebration for the modern-day city of Kiyosu.
