History of Kiyotakiji
Northern part of Tosa-shi. It is located in the middle of the Medical King Mountain, but here is the paper in Kochi prefecture known for Tosa Japanese paper and hand-painted shoji paper. By tracing its source, you can see that it is a shallow sacred place with Kobo Daishi. As a source of important water to expose Mitsumata and to spread Japanese paper, it is a thick faithful house.
According to the auspicious momentum, the row Bodhisattva was standing in the seventh year of the young lady, where he felt the aura at this place and sculpted the philosopheric statue. It is said that it was the beginning that it opened the mountain, named Kageyama Basho-Inuki-ji Temple. Kobo Daishi visited Korin-dan year (810 - 24). Building the altar on the rock about 300 meters above the main hall, praying for a grain richness and praying for a cereal grain harvest and doing the 17th day 's training on Goryoi' s authority and Dragon King 's rights. When I poked the altar with a golden stick on the day of full filing, Shimizu gushed out of Iwagami and it became a pond like a mirror. So, we changed the name of Yamana, Hosono, and Temple as it is now, and made it a sacred place.
This water is useful not only to moisten the field at the foot, but also to expose 'Mitsumata', to paper making, eventually contributing to the Tosa Japanese paper industry.
In the temple, the third Prince of the Emperor Heijo (ranked 806 - 09) got out with a dictation of Kobo Daishi's dream and named him Masui. Masui visited this temple and prayed for an increase in breath, built the Olympic tower for refinement, and then entered the temple. He is one of the ten great students. In addition, during the Edo era, the devotion of Tosa lords was thick, and they received a donation of hundreds of temples for fear of prayers, such as the temple of Tenji Temple with 10 temples and temples.
It is a famous temple of miserable prayers, the symbol of which is higher than the main roof of the main hall.
