KNOEBELS AMUSEMENT PARK VLOG w/ Onride POVs - Elysburg, PA
On Labor Day we visited the greatest classic style amusement park in world at Knoebels Amusement Resort. This park has three amazing wooden coasters including the Phoenix, one of the top rated wooden coasters in the world as well as two continually restored and meticulously maintained classic dark rides. In addition the park has a massive assortment of flat rides and a pool and campground.

One visit to Knoebels and you will never forget it! They have one of my favorite wooden coasters called Phoenix and another great wooden coaster called Twister as well as a wide variety of quality rides. If you are tired of the way of SIX FLAGS treats their customers then you will LOVE Knoebels Amusement Park located in a small town in P.A. When Six Flags charges you outrageous amounts of money for food and everything else and when Six Flags makes you wait in LONG lines for everything... remember that there is still a really cool amusement park that isn't just about taking sucking every single dollar out of you! Really, this place is like going back in time: no admission fee, you can just pay per ride or buy a wrist band for unlimited ride use. They actually have a picnic area so you can bring in food and drinks. You can even walk around the park with your dog. Yes...bring your pet! They have some great rollercoasters plus some rides that you won't usually find at other parks. Warning: it is located in the middle of nowhere but you can find a nearby hotel or even stay at the campground located next door. Here is more info in case you are interested:
Nestled in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania (Elysburg to be exact)is one of the states best kept secrets, Knoebels Amusement Park. Located near Elysburg PA in a large wooded valley Knoebels is rich in amusement history with a very diverse collection of old favorites intermingled with the newer rides and attractions of today. One of the many highlights of Knoebels is the fact that all of its rides, new and old are built around a forest of trees with much care to preserve the canopy of shade they provide. In the dead heat of summer, the trees along with Knoebels location make the park a cool summer destination. The two creeks that run through the park, Roaring Creek and Mugser's Run, add to the ambiance with covered bridges and walkways crossing over them. Knoebels is larger than you might think at first glance. The trees help to hide how expansive the park has become, even when looking from high atop the large 110 foot Ferris Wheel or down from the ski lift that rises you up the side of the mountain next to Knoebels.

5 Gallon Trip: Heritage Museum and Gardens
Known for the bright rhododendron blooms that cover the property through early June, the Heritage Museums and Gardens is more than a horticultural dream: It is a hodgepodge of art, culture and history spread over 100 meticulously landscaped acres.
Auto enthusiasts will revel in a medley of mint-condition rides displayed in the round Shaker barn that houses the J.K. Lilly III Antique Automobile Museum.
Across the park at the Art Museum, a gallery of folk art is steps away from a hand-carved carousel, where kids and adults alike can bob and twirl on elaborate horses for free. Next door, an exhibit that explores pirates through history and in pop culture has movies, a climb-inside jail and the chance to take the wheel of a pirate ship.
A short walk away, the American History Museum offers rotating exhibits housed in an imposing replica of a Revolutionary War fort where George Washington's army spent the last winter of the Revolutionary War.
And even the walk between exhibits will promises to entertain, with mazes, gardens and an impressive windmill scattered throughout the park.
