Just outside of Kelowna British Columbia is Knox Mountain Park. It has incredible views, great hiking trails and lots of mountain bike runs. Also across Okanagan Lake are many wineries that dot the shoreline and hill tops. It is a beautiful part of British Columbia.

Captured this footage back in July 2017 in Kelowna, BC, Canada. This was recorded in Knox Mountain Park the day after the smoke cleared out from the wildfire at the time. The music in the background is Ice Serenade which was composed by Screenhog when he worked for Club Penguin. Kelowna is the birthplace of Club Penguin and I visited the HQ while I was up there along with Hyper Hippo Productions which was a company founded by Lance Priebe AKA Rocketsnail and Pascale Audette.

Knox Mountain Challenge 2018 | Kelowna, BC
It's that time of year again!! We are hosting our 5th Annual Knox Mountain Challenge here in beautiful Kelowna, BC! If you don't live in Kelowna, please feel free to join in a challenge of this nature and pick a local mountain to do this on!
The Challenge:
Throughout the month of April, we challenge you to try and reach for one of these goal markers:
1. The Fastest Time - On our route, the Apex Trail, you will time yourself starting at the very bottom and race to the top, stopping your timer only once you've ascended the final flight of stairs, near the lookout! Time is only based on your ascension. The fastest time up the Apex Trail, wins!
2. The Most Improved Time - Start off doing what you can. The more times you can make it to Knox in a month, the better you'll become. Take your time at the beginning of the month, on your very first hike. Then take your time again on your last hike. The most improved margin, wins!
3. The Most Times - This year we have a new category, that being the MOST times up Knox. This is where you will want to keep track on a calendar, how many times you make it up there in the month of April. The person with the most times, wins!

Wasn't planning on hiking Knox Mountain during my trip to Kelowna, but I'm so very pleased that I did! I trekked two trails to the top and bottom of the mountain - Apex Trail and Paul's Tomb.

Virtual Tour of Knox Mountain Park in Kelowna
Knox Mountain Park is located north of Downtown Kelowna, adjacent to Okanagan Lake and provides a splendid view of the city, the Okanagan Lake and surrounding areas. Just take Ellis Street North all the way to the end to reach the park entrance.
The Park provides recreational opportunities to Kelowna residents such as hiking, walking, running, mountain biking, photography, etc. Once you are on the top of the mountain, you can see a spectacular view of the city of Kelowna and also it is an excellent spot to take your family for a picnic. Don't forget to take your camera because the beauty of the mountain will inspire the photographer in you.

Hiking in Apex Trail at Knox Mountain Park, Kelowna BC, Canada
Very beautiful view when looking at Kelowna city from the Apex Trail.
Intermediate Mountain Biking at Knox Mountain Park, Kelowna BC, Canada
Basic trail ride, very challenging for beginner but super fun if you have a few miles under your feet. No big jumps or drops on this ride, so if you're starting out, it's a great park. You can ride the paved road to the Apex lookout at the top and take a variety of trails down. This video focuses on the Shale trail near the bottom with all the windy berms.

Knox Mountain Park est situé au nord du centre-ville de Kelowna et offre une vue sans pareil de la ville de Kelowna et du lac Okanagan.
Ce parc dispose de plusieurs sentiers autant pour les randonneurs que les cyclistes.
Il est possible de parcourir une partie du parc en voiture. Cependant, étant donné que l'indice d'inflammabilité était à son maximum lors de notre visite, la route était fermée aux automobilistes.
Nous avons donc emprunté un sentier de randonnée pour nous rendre au sommet de cette montagne. Plusieurs points de vue intéressants sont offerts tout le long du parcours.
Nous avons pu observer plusieurs chevreuils avec leurs petits.
Nous avons eu le loisir d'admirer un magnifique coucher de soleil sur le lac Okanagan.

Kelowna Parks - Dilworth Mountain Park - Kelowna's Hidden Gem!
Please Enjoy this video of Kelowna B.C. Canada's Hidden Gem, Dilworth Mountain Park. This Park is centrally located and can be reached in about 10 minutes from downtown Kelowna. The park is on top of Dilworth Mountain so the views of around the city are amazing. The walking loop is about 20 minutes and it is fairly flat with minor hills. It is great for families as there are benches and a playground. Please watch your kids carefully near the lookouts. There are guard rails for your safety. If you are visiting Kelowna, make sure to check this park out.

Not the best driving lines this year but it will have to do.. had a lot of problems with no limited slip diff and the power just couldn't be put to the pavement the way I wanted it too.
