More Koh Chang Food:
Located on the beach side of the road about the middle of White Sand beach, just north of the beer bar area, Easy to find once it gets dark. An awesome place to try delicious Thai food and probably the cheapest food on the island.

THAILAND,KOH CHANG *KLONG PRAO BEACH*
Klong Prao is the largest beach on Koh Chang, Klong Prao Beach is located 4 kilometers south of White Sand Beach. This beach starts at the point where Laem Chaichet ends. The beach itself is quite unique as it's divided into three sections by the river estuary of Klong Plu Waterfall and a river channel in the south. Much quieter than White Sand Beach, Klong Prao beach is ideal for those who appreciate tranquil surroundings and gorgeous rocky landscape.
Klong Prao (mean Coconut Canal in Thai), has sprung up in recent years as a centre for major upmarket resorts and health spas. The mostly private expanse of beach is quite narrow, particularly when the tide is in, but is covered with soft white sand.
Many of the larger resorts that line this stretch also have stunning swimming pools. Because most of the accommodation is resort style with all amenities included on site, there are not too many independent restaurants or other shops in the area.
Klong Prao is strung out over about 5 kilometers of beach of varying quality. Though there are plenty of shops around, there's no feeling of a centrered community here like on White Sands Beach or Kai Bae Beach. The emphasis is on top-end resorts that cater for their guests' every whim. Much of the northern end of the beach is privately owned.
A highlight of a stay in Klong Prao is a visit to the canal at night to see masses of fireflies dancing around in the twilight. As well as the usual beachside activities, there are a few excellent cooking schools towards the southern end of the beach. Klong Prao is also the place to access the Khlong Phu waterfall and Chang Chutiman Trekking elephant camp.

Thailand - Koh Mak - Cooking Class
27th December 2010
For a Christmas present I bought my mum and boyfriend a Thai cooking class at Smile Koh Mak Cooking school on the island of Koh Mak. Myself and my brother also went along to take part, my dad didn't cook but ate up a lot of the delicious food. This class was incredible. Not only was the view from our cooking hobs beautiful but the whole experience was informative and most importantly FUN! We cooked about 9 Thai dishes from pad Thai and papaya salad to massaman curry and green curry.
I couldn't recommend this more, a great day with a huge delicious meal to end!

Thailand - Koh Mak - Smile Koh Mak Cooking School :-)
27th December 2010
This was one of the best travelling experiences I've ever had! During our Christmas family holiday in Thailand, I arranged for us to take part in a Thai cookery course. The course took place at Smile Koh Mak Cooking School at a beautiful spot on Koh Mak overlooking the ocean.
The course was absolutely fantastic. It was private, just myself and my family. We cooked eight classic Thai dishes, of our choosing. We were involved in everything, from learning about the ingredients to making our own curry paste to EATING......the best part. Leng, the lady who runs the cooking school is lovely, she spoke great English and she made the day fun, interesting and very memorable.
If you go to Koh Mak it is a MUST DO. The cooking school has a facebook page and a website where you can book a class.

Koh Chang {Thailand}
Koh Chang is the biggest island off of Thailand's mainland. From Bangkok, you can get to Koh Chang with a five hour bus ride and half an hour on a ferry. The island is quite cheap in comparison to the other popular islands of Thailand. What to expect in Koh Chang? Lots of monkeys, lots of trees, and loads of winding, curving roads. Koh Chang was one of my favorite experiences while in Thailand. I would recommend this island to everyone looking for a long, relaxing weekend getaway from the busy city life.
