Whakatane from Kohi Point with White Island - EBOP New Zealand
This is an introduction to where I come from, the town of Whakatane, views of Whale Island and White Island our most active volcano. This isnt where I was born, but it is where I call home.
During the video I mentioned that the Uruwera National park was our largest, I think that may be incorrect, it may be the Fiordland National park in the South Island, sorry...
Wairere falls (Whakatane) & Kohi Point Walkway, April 2018, New Zealand
Výborný trek u města Whakatane. Naprosto famózní výhled z Kohi Pointu, kde v dálce můžete za dobrého počasí spatřit i známý White Island. Pokud někdy budete poblíž, rozhodně si tento výšlap nenechte ujít ;)

Too close - Rare New Zealand dry lightning.
The Video from the car camera, I was beside it's door & the lightning hit about 20m to my right. Kohi Point Lookout, Whakatane, New Zealand. The Steel trig station it hit was only about 2 meters taller than me, with me being the second highest object nearby. Immediately prior I thought a fly was landing on my head and I was trying to sho it away. Lady parked behind me said there was probably no fly, my hair had been standing straight up.
