VILJANDI | Real Estonia | Typical Town in Southern Estonia
Adorable little town Viljandi is located in southern Estonia. It is the capital of Viljandi County. The town was first mentioned in 1283, upon being granted its town charter by Wilhelm von Endorpe. The town became a member of the Hanseatic League at the beginning of the 14th century, and is one of five Estonian towns and cities in the league. The once influential Estonian newspaper Sakala was founded in Viljandi in 1878.

In the 12th century, a permanent settlement emerged around the stronghold of Viljandi, which also became the economic centre of the ancient Sakala district. In place of the Sakala wooden stronghold a powerful Order Centre was started in 1224. The following year the Grand Master Volquin led the construction of the Viljandi Castle at the site of the former hillfort. The Viljandi (Fellin) castle was one of the largest in the Baltic region. It was a major fortification of the Livonian Order and was appointed a commander from 1248. The fortress was continually rebuilt and modernized over the next two-hundred years.
The town is situated on the north-western shore of Lake Viljandi, which lies in the primeval valley. Green zones cover 27% of the town area. Viljandi is sometimes called the cultural capital of Estonia, partly due to the Viljandi Culture Academy being located there. Viljandi Folk Music Festival a music festival with a focus on European folk music. It is traditionally held in the end of July.

Kadriorg park and its Japanese garden is a great place to start off your daytrip along the Tallinn coast. The park is situated close to the nearly 2km long Pirita promenade, a paved path tracing a curve from Kadriorg to Pirita. The promenade opens onto a scenic view of Tallinn city centre, Viimsi peninsula and the Gulf of Finland. Take a relaxing stroll through the nearby pine woods and you will arrive at Pirita beach, largest and most popular sandy beach spot in Tallinn. Here you'll find ball courts, playgrounds, water sport equipment rental and cafes.
A short drive away from Tallinn, Museum of Coastal Folk in Viimsi hosts a number of indoor and outdoor events throughout the year, most importantly the Coastal Folk Festival in July, Christmas Village in December. Viimsi Open Air Museum organises farmers market every Saturday all year round as well as Estonian Open Air Museum in Rocca al Mare offers wide range of activities throughout the year.

Неподалеку от Пирита, в 15 км от центра Таллинна, расположен каменистый полуостров Виймси. Здесь тоже есть песчаный пляж и несколько достопримечательностей: Военный музей, Музей прибрежного народа и Виймсиский музей под открытым небом, расположенном на месте бывшего рыбацкого хутора.

IRONMAN Tallinn 2019 | After Movie | Triathlon Estonia
Ironman Tallinn 2019 took place on 3rd of August in Estonia’s capital, located on the Baltic sea. The race began with a 3.8 km swim in Harku lake. Athletes then continued onto a 180.2 km two-loop bike course which bring them along the coastline and nearby villages. The final 42.2 km four-loop run takes participants through the historical city center of Tallinn, an UNESCO world heritage site, and finished on Freedom Square.

Tallinn became only the second capital in Europe to host an IRONMAN event, sharing this distinction with Denmark’s KMD IRONMAN Copenhagen. The race was the second IRONMAN event in Estonia after the IRONMAN 70.3 Otepää. IRONMAN Tallinn - Voted the 10th best global event in the category of 'Overall Bike Experience' in the 2018 Athlete Choice Awards!
2019 IRONMAN Tallinn offers 40 qualifying slots for the 2019 Vega IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
The city is situated on the northern coast of the country, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, 80 km south of Helsinki, east of Stockholm, and west of Saint Petersburg in Harju County. Considered one of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval cities in Europe, today’s Tallinn is home to 445,000 people and has gained a reputation as Europe’s Silicon Valley. Most notably, the internet telephony company Skype was founded here. The city is a convenient hub for travel as well, served by its convenient airport and ferry services that connect the city to Helsinki, Mariehamn, Stockholm, and St. Petersburg. IRONMAN Tallinn прошел 3 августа 2019 года в столице Эстонии - Таллине, находящимся на берегу Балтийского моря. Таллин расположен на северном побережье страны в Харьюском уезде и считается одним из самых красивых и наиболее хорошо сохранившихся средневековых городов Европы. Сегодня в Таллине проживает 445 000 человек, и город заслуженно носит репутацию Силиконовой Долины в Европе. В частности, в Таллине была основана компания Skype. Город является удобным центром для путешествий, с удобным аэропортом и судовой развязкой, которая соединяет город с Хельсинки, Стокгольмом и Санкт-Петербургом. KABERNEEME Peninsula | Marina (Yacht Harbour) | Kolga Bay | Estonia
The Kaberneeme peninsula, only 2 kilometres long, is one of the tiniest on the North Coast of Estonia. To the east of the peninsula is the Gulf of Kolga and to the west the Gulf of Kaberneeme. The peninsula’s imaginary extensions are Koipse (a.k.a Koipsi) and Rammu islands, where human activity is limited from the end of April to the 20th of July because of the Kolga Bay Landscape Protection Area. On the west coast lies a sandy beach, famous for decades, and on the east coast is Kaberneeme yachting harbour.

In 2015 Kaberneeme village celebrated its 640th birthday. The first sign that refers to the settlement appears in the description of miracles written by a Swedish Saint Brigitta in 1375. Back then, a conflict between Estonian and Swedish fishermen occurred. Kaberneeme village is first mentioned as a Swedes’ village in 1485. Nowadays the peninsula belongs to Jõelähtme Parish of Harju County. Until 1694 there is very little data about the peninsula, and it is impossible to have a complete overview of the development and life of the village. According to historical records from 1694, there were 13 farms in Kaberneeme village at the time.
At the end of the 19th century, Kaberneeme became one of the most important fishing and fish processing centres near Tallinn. Kaberneeme was presumably the first place where the particular fishing technique called “keerepüük” (fishing with one-winged seine) was practised. Fish smoking was begun in 1892 and from 1893 sprat industry started working.
Good income from the fishing contributed to the expansion of the village. In 1912 there were 16 sailing ships in Kaberneeme and at the end of the decade 21. In the first half of the 20th century, extraordinary amounts of salmon were caught near the peninsula. Shipbuilding in that area also originates from Kaberneeme. The sale of Baltic herring to Tallinn started here, as well as the carriage of cobblestone.
At the beginning of the past century union activity developed thrivingly. A school was started in the village in 1922 and was closed in 1953. The former schoolhouse is located in a beautiful pinewood near the sea. In the cultural and educational history of Estonia, the building has been mentioned in conjunction with writers Jüri and Ülo Tuulik. Their father Karl Tuulik, who was also the headmaster of the school, set on foot the social and educational life. During the Russian occupation, the school building was used as a base for the Tallinn’s 46th art-biased secondary school’s summer training. The joint action and work traditions of the village ceased in 1944 when many of the 300 villagers escaped abroad.
The group of the thatched roofed summerhouses close to the border of the village (the locals know the area under the name of Rooküla or “reed village”) also dates back to this period, the end of the 1970s. Kaberneeme Vacation House is located here as well.

TARTU | The City of Students in Estonia
Tartu is the second largest city of Estonia, after Estonia's political and financial capital Tallinn. Tartu is often considered the intellectual centre of the country, especially since it is home to the nation's oldest and most renowned university, the University of Tartu. The city also houses the Supreme Court of Estonia, the Ministry of Education and Research, and the new building of the Estonian National Museum, opened to the public in October 2016. It is also the birthplace of Estonian Song Festivals.
Situated 186 kilometres southeast of Tallinn and 245 kilometres northeast of Riga, Tartu lies on the Emajõgi (Mother river), which connects the two largest lakes of Estonia.
Tartu is very compact, with most sights, restaurants and nightlife nestled across a couple of parallel streets. Being the second largest town in Estonia and a hot bed for creative and scientific culture, there is always something on from theatre performances to concerts and festivals.

Yearly street festival in the central district of Tallinn. Uus Maailm, or the “New World”, is sometimes referred to as “the hippie district”, but it's really just a community of active people who truly care about their living environment and want to promote community participation. It doesn't really have official borders – it's the people that make the district. The subdistrict is named in reference to several America streets (Greater America, Lesser America and Middle America) in the area, named after the 19th century inn called America.

Kohtla-Nõmme Mining Park
Kohtla Mining Park-Museum is one of the most interesting and original sightseeing places in Estonia. The museum provides a detailed overview of mining and use of the most important natural resource in Estonia - its reserves of oil shale. Guided tours are organised through real underground mining tunnels, visitors are equipped with miners helmets and battery-powered lamps, and individual visitors can access the underground tunnels on the hour. The Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic (Estonian SSR or ESSR; Estonian: Eesti Nõukogude Sotsialistlik Vabariik ENSV; Russian: Эстонская Советская Социалистическая Республика ЭССР, Estonskaya Sovetskaya Sotsialisticheskaya Respublika ESSR), also known as Soviet Estonia or Estonia was an unrecognized republic of the Soviet Union, administered by a subordinate of the government of the Soviet Union. The ESSR was initially established on the territory of the Republic of Estonia on July 21, 1940, following the invasion of Soviet troops on June 17, 1940, and the installation of a puppet government backed by the Soviet Union, which declared Estonia a Soviet constituency. The Estonian SSR was subsequently incorporated into the Soviet state on August 9, 1940. The territory was occupied by Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1944 and administered as a part of Reichskommissariat Ostland.
Most countries did not recognize the incorporation of Estonia de jure and only recognized its Soviet government de facto or not at all. A number of these countries continued to recognize Estonian diplomats and consuls who still functioned in the name of their former government. This policy of non-recognition gave rise to the principle of legal continuity, which held that de jure, Estonia remained an independent state under occupation throughout the period 1940–91.On 16 November 1988, the Estonian SSR became the first republic within the Soviet sphere of influence to declare state sovereignty from Moscow. On 30 March 1990, the Estonian SSR declared that Estonia had been occupied since 1940 and declared a transitional period for the country's full independence. The Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic was renamed as the Republic of Estonia on May 8, 1990. The independence of the Republic of Estonia was re-established on August 20 during the 1991 Soviet coup d'état attempt the following year and the Soviet Union itself recognized the independence of Estonia on September 6, 1991.

This video is an interview of Zhirinovsky at newspaper and radio station ''Komsomolskaya pravda''.
This is one of the funniest Zhirinovsky's interview. Mainly because of the fragment of this interview where he spoke about various topical subjects. He actually speaks his mind here, and even uses some inappropriate language. I think, he don't actually care, but it's funny.
2 main subjects of this interview are situation in Syria, and elections for Moscow mayor. He gives his evaluation about them, of course. He also speaks about immigrants problem, and some other subjects.
