Kolufoss Waterfall how to find it and how I Shoot it - Landscape photography tips
Here is a video I did few months ago...
Kolugljúfur (canyon) and Kolufoss (waterfall) are a wonderful destination on the north part of Iceland, a little bit of the beaten path and thus unknown to many travelers. Many landscape photographers therefor skip this location simply because they don´t know it exists. It's only 10 minute drive from the main road and a chance to get fantastic photographs – so there´s a full reason to make this little detour.
In this video you will find: a hidden, less known gem in Iceland, photography tips & tricks, landscape photography tutorial, landscape photography composition and more interesting stuff.

Iceland Vlog: Day 8 (Hvitserkur Rock, Vatsnes Peninsula and Drangsnes)
Welcome to day 8 of our Iceland trip!
Day 8:
- It was an hour and a half drive from the campground to our first stop at Hvitserkur Rock, and amazing rock feature on the beach that looks like an enormous animal drinking.
- From there, we walked along the beach to Osar, where there is a seal colony, it is about a 15 min walk south of Hvitserkur Rock.
- Then we drove around the Vatsnes Peninsula stopping at various points ( Illugastadir, Svalbard) to see more seals as well as having lunch.
- After that we took the long drive into West Iceland to the beautiful town of Drangsnes where we ended the day bathing in the free hot tubs right next to the sea, fantastic!

Full itinerary HERE:
Day One - Arrived in Reykjavik, stocked up our wines at the airport (cause everywhere else would be expensive), got our cozy little rental car and drove straight to Blue Lagoon. Spent a whole day there (omg so relaxing!!)
Day Two: Drove from Reykjavik to Borgarnes, got this DELICIOUS vegetarian buffet (and I am not vegetarian) at The Settlement Center and also checked out the museum. Then drove and took a costal walk at Arnarstapi (so so beautiful!) and then visited the waterfall and mountain in Kirjufell. Stayed at this little town called Stykkishólmur
Day Three: Drove to see Kolugljufur Canyon (It was super windy, rainy, and cold! But a magnificent site) and then to Icelandic Seal Center in the town called Hvammstangi. We decided to venture out and try to see if we were lucky enough to see seals, so drove/hiked around the peninsula (did we see seals? gotta check the vid to find out!????)
Day Four: Drove to Akureyri (2nd biggest city in Iceland) for lunch, then checked out the Waterfall of Gods (SO SO BEAUTIFUL) then the Cave where The Game of Thrones were shot (Any GOT Fans out there?!)
Part II will come out soon! Stay tuned :D
