A great beach with two lovely tavernas this video is of the nicest in the corner of the beach; Bunga Bunga. The bar serves lovely food and has a number of airy seating areas on teirs affording great views over the clean beach. Just outside Matala this makes a pleasant change from the busier Matala beach.

TIP OF THE DAY:
If you ever want to rent a bike on Crete (or Greece anywhere), either take an off road bike or try to get one of those. They are perfect for the conditions (bad roads) there, comfortably to ride, even with 2 persons and have incredible low fuel consumption. Most locals use them, they know why. Don´t take a scooter, they are crap. Just for tourists that don´t know. Drive carefully - it might be a good idea to have some experience.
