In the thousands of drunken Japanese men wrestle in loin clothes for small, sacred objects that bring luck for the next year.
In late February hordes of nigh naked men clad in loincloths gather at Saidai-ji Temple in Okayama to compete for a prized sacred stick known as shingen. Whoever receives the shingen is believed to receive good luck and happiness. The festival is known as Saidai-ji Eyo Hadaka Matsuri.
Fights will often break out and men get squished together. Men have been known to die at the festival in the past.

Shorinji Kempo
Shorinji Kempo is a Japanese martial art which is considered as a modified version of Shaolin Kung Fu . It was established in 1947 by Doshin So, a Japanese martial artist and former military intelligence agent. Shorinji Kempo is a system of self-defense training, mental training and promoting health, whose training methods are based on the concept that spirit and body are not separable and that it is integral to train both body and spirit.
