Unsere Thementour startet in Bonn Beuel. Von dort aus fahren wir den historischen Bröltalbahnweg runter zum Rhein. Über die Kennedy-Brücke gehts auf die Bonner Rheinseite. Hier gibt es gleich die ersten Informationen: Warum hängt ein seltsam gekrümmtes Männchen an der Brücke?
Weiter geht es am Rheinufer nach Süden. Beim nächsten Stop lernen Sie den Unterschied zwischen dem Morgenthau- und dem Marshall-Plan kennen: dieser ist ganz entscheidend dafür, dass nur wenige Menschen in Deutschland Karohemden tragen!
Beim Museum König erfahren Sie, warum die Bundesrepublik Deutschland fast eine Giraffe als Wappentier gehabt hätte, und zwar wirklich um Haaresbreite. Konrad Adenauer hat sich damals für den Adler eingesetzt.
Vorbei an Villa Hammerschmidt und Palais Schaumburg werden Sie das Adenauer Denkmal von einer ganz anderen Seite kennenlernen. Versprochen. Und vielleicht wollten Sie schon immer mal wissen, wie man Bundeskanzler/in wird? Die Geschichte um einen Niedersachsen wird es Ihnen beweisen.
Wir passieren den alten (aber immer noch aktiven) Bundesrat, das Bundeshaus und fahren zum alten Bundestag. Dieses Gebäude, was mal eine Turnhalle war, hat viele interessante Geschichten zu erzählen. Und warum saßen 4 Handwerker und Hausmeister auf einem Stuhl und versuchten ihn umzuwerfen?
Erfahren Sie als nächstes, warum dem eher kleinwüchsigen Abgeordneten Gerstenmaier ein 115m hohes Denkmal in Bonn gesetzt wurde, das alle Welt kennt. Ein skandalträchtiger Ort ist das Tulpenfeld gleich nebenan. Auch hier gibt es viele Geschichten.
Dann queren wir den Rhein wieder, diesmal über die Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke. Sehen Sie, wo in den 60-er Jahren der russische Präsident einen nagelneuen Mercedes geschrottet hat. Und wie verwundert er war, als am nächsten Morgen wieder ein nagelneuer Wagen vor seinem Schlafzimmerfenster stand.
Zum Ende der Tour blicken wir über den Rhein in das Schlafzimmer von Helmut Kohl, fahren weiter am Rheinufer bis nach Beuel, wo die Tour nach gut 3 Stunden und vielen interessanten, aber immer humorvollen Informationen endet.
Diese Tour ist kein von den Kultusministern anerkannter Geschichtsunterricht – aber mit viel Spaß und Fahrfreude werden Sie eine Menge über die Gründungszeit der BRD erfahren. Versprochen!

Koblenz also spelled Coblenz (sometimes English and pre-1926 German spelling) or Coblence (French), is a German city situated on both banks of the Rhine at its confluence with the Moselle, where the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) and its monument (Emperor William I on horseback) are situated. The city celebrated its 2,000th anniversary in 1992.
The name Koblenz originates from Latin (ad) confluentes, confluence or (at the) merging of rivers. Subsequently it was Covelenz and Cobelenz. In the local dialect the name is Kowelenz.
After Mainz and Ludwigshafen am Rhein, it is the third largest city in Rhineland-Palatinate, with a population of c. 106,000 (2006). Koblenz lies in the Rhineland, 92 kilometers (57 mi) southeast of Cologne by rail.

The Elysee treaty was of massive importance. It was the foundation of the easy life we lead together now and it was the basis on which it all developed. Near the Pasarelle (bridge) over the Rhine there is a monument which shows two people in bronze, only separated by a small gap hugging each other. That's the situation today: the small gap is the Rhine which we can cross without any problems.

It's a reminder of the times of peace and prosperity that former foes Germany and France have enjoyed since putting differences aside and sealing their friendship with a treaty signed 50 years ago on Tuesday.
The 1963 post-war Elysee treaty, signed by French President Charles de Gaulle and Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, laid the foundation for what arguably has grown into Europe's cornerstone friendship.
As Europe battles internal dissent and an enduring economic crisis, the anniversary of a post-war bond which allowed the European Union to take shape holds all the more meaning.
The leaders have yet to find common ground.

The Federal City of Bonn (German pronunciation: [bɔn] (listen)) is a city on the banks of the Rhine in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, with a population of over 300,000. About 24 km (15 mi) south-southeast of Cologne, Bonn is in the southernmost part of the Rhine-Ruhr region, Germany's largest metropolitan area, with over 11 million inhabitants. It is famously known as the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven in 1770. Beethoven spent his childhood and teenage years in Bonn.
Because of a political compromise following German reunification, the German federal government maintains a substantial presence in Bonn. Roughly a third of all ministerial jobs are located in Bonn as of 2019, and the city is considered a second, unofficial, capital of the country. Bonn is the secondary seat of the President, the Chancellor, the Bundesrat and the primary seat of six federal government ministries and twenty federal authorities. The title of Federal City (German: Bundesstadt) reflects its important political status within Germany.Founded in the 1st century BC as a Roman settlement, Bonn is one of Germany's oldest cities. From 1597 to 1794, Bonn was the capital of the Electorate of Cologne, and residence of the Archbishops and Prince-electors of Cologne. From 1949 to 1990, Bonn was the capital of West Germany, and Germany's present constitution, the Basic Law, was declared in the city in 1949. The era when Bonn served as the capital of West Germany is referred to by historians as the Bonn Republic. The headquarters of Deutsche Post DHL and Deutsche Telekom, both DAX-listed corporations, are in Bonn. Jan van Helsing s’en prend à nouveau à la vision du monde, la vôtre ! Cet ouvrage est donc un sérieux avertissement. Après l’avoir lu, votre perception du monde ne sera plus jamais la même.
