3rd Annual BC Fishing Trip- Kootenay Lake and Duck Lake
Canada day long weekend was spent on Kootenay lake again for Weston's 27th birthday. We were able to fish for Kokanee on July 1st and we spent the next day fishing for bass on the drive home. We stopped at Duck lake for a morning fish and Surveyors lake for the afternoon. Both of us caught quite a few fish on Kootenay lake and both of us had a big ole largie the next day!

Top 10 Beaches of the West Kootenays Five Mile Point Kootenay Lake
This massive stretch of beach in the West Arm of Kootenay Lake looks like something you'd see in the Caribbean... without all the smoke! Our province is on fire this summer so you'll have to try and look past the haze of wild fire smoke. The sand on this beach is really soft and the water was nice and warm! Great beach for camping or day trips. It's pretty popular and can get busy. Easily in the top 10 for our area on my list!

Kootenay Lake Kokanee Fishing British Columbia - PLUS BONUS SPECIES!
Kootenay Lake Kokanee Fishing in British Columbia Canada. Caught a bonus species using the same techniques we used for Kokanee. Casting and jigging an orange Gibbs Croc spoon and a pink Jigalo tipped with pink maggots was the ticket. We launched the boat in Balfour BC and were fishing the West Arm of Kootenay Lake immediately downstream of the Balfour Ferry landing.
