This is a ride off about 100km and in dry conditions is a very easy ride. These trip notes are only a rough guide but the roads where all well sign posted when I went through October 2014.

Day 1 (Aratula - Kyogle) of a weekend in the Border Ranges with some photographs included. Route from Aratula via Carney's Creek, White Swamp Rd then across to the Head Road, Condamine Gorge and Killarney. Down the Mt Lindsay H'way towards Kyogle. Planned to go through Cox's Rd into Toonumbar NP but a bit slippery for the road tyres on the Tiger so accessed the park via Wiangaree and Afterlee Rd.

Sandon River, Yuraygir National Park is located at the end of a sand peninsular making up the northern side of the Sandon River. This makes for easy access to fishing, swimming and boating on both the river and sea. A boat ramp is located on site and there is east 4x4 access to the open beach.
A current NSW recreational fishing licence is required when fishing. Note that, Sandon village is on the southern side of the Sandon River, and is only reachable by travelling along the beach from Minnie Water in the south, or by boat. The area is rich in Aboriginal and European cultural heritage and great place to stop over when hiking the multi-day Yuraygir coastal walk.

Across The QLD NSW Border, Mt Lindesay Hwy 10 November 2014
Pulled the Gopro HD Hero out of the closet after a 3 year hiatus and took it for a test ride down the Mt Lindesay Hwy across the QLD/NSW border and back along the Old Lions road.
This video is of the Mt Lindesay border crossing only heading south. The camera works pretty good seeing as the state I found it in was not good. It not being in its case was even worse but it seems to be ok.
The road is not too bad as far as roads go in this country. There is a couple of dips due to ground subsidence but nothing too bad. There is however a hell of a lot of road snakes. We had the misfortune of hitting those just after they poured them a few months ago and it certainly grabbed ones attention. Now they are ok but probably be a little funky in the wet. I have never seen so many before.
It's a great ride early in the morning.
